Me and some friends went to a drag market on the premises to promote our own venue and it was a great place, made new friends as it was very warm and welcomingLocation: 5/5
A bit far away but always a good time, best events go on here so buy a ticket and get ur groove on. Also the bar manager is a delight:
I’m a studio holder here and it’s a really fantastic supportive and creative community at a place that has a lot of respect for its industrial and creative history. Great location, out of the main city centre so easy to drive to and park at, but also walking distance from bus and tram stops which make it easy to get to without driving as well. Hold some great events too.
I love a good old mill. Went to use a room for a social event, it was great, served the purpose perfectly.Location: 5/5
This is a hive of creativity. There are a huge array of artists and art mediums covered across the building. The open day offered a great opportunity to see what's on offer and to get some contact details for future reference. There are furniture restorers. framers, print and digital media, illustrators, stained glass window makers, wig makers....the list goes on. Support local talent and business and check out what the residents can offer you.
Creative place and fab studios! XxRooms: 5/5
A wonderful place near Manchester city center providing wonderful community events and spaces for organisations to share culture, art and promote well-being. While location isn't the most ideal, one can access the building via car share, bus and vehicle Parking is available.Service: 4/5
Always tons going on and some great gigs to be had here. If you can get yourself to some of their events you're in for a surreal evening that's not easy to forget. The style of the place is like an old art school, a bit of an untidy and old building but full of creativity. The bar area is small and makes for very intimate gigs as the stage is only a step off the ground. There's a central courtyard thats great for chilling out in during summer. The best time for the sun is around noon as the buildings around it block the sunlight later on in the day. As well as gigs there are a lot of art exhibitions that go on, a few brands have done catalogue shoot here with a secret party, also a well known band used to live here so they used to gig here quite a bit, there was even a google event here recently. A great place to keep your eye on for nights out that are a bit out of the ordinary.
Been here for the first time at NYE party. That gave the feel of an underground dungeon club. The vibe is like a secret place where all the cool people hangout. Mostly house music, karaoke upstairs. Although the countdown was anticlimactic, the atmosphere got more and more interesting as the night progressed. Bars often crowded and poorly attended.
Excellent wedding venue, very uneven cobble stone courtyard lovely to look at but not great for kids or elderly guests. Acoustics not great in main hall but plenty of space to have a fab party and accommodation is clean and modern.
