What a place! The spirit in that arena is active and alive. I entire the open show and class of artist. Great stage presence and performance as well as management. Lightening, speakers and security were all on point. Will love to come gain in 2025.
Finding the venue was a little tricky, but once found brilliant. super friendly well staffed security. Sound quality was brilliant on he floor. Enough space ish, got a bit bargie with users leaving their spots to get drinks and return expecting to stand in the same spot. Felt safe. Wouldn't hesitate to watch another gig at this venue.
The venue is really cool and the sound was brilliant. I dont think there's a bad view and lots of bar options. It's open air so prepare for the weather. We had a great time but a few things can be improved to help those with accessibility needs. The low lights were: people fighting over seats within the accessible area because there wasn't enough provided by the venue the staff did their best and were excellent and the cobbled hill down to the accessible entrance. How are wheelchairs meant to get down there?! A temp covering would be better, as would allocated seating within the two accessible areas. Our section had it's own accessible portaloo which led to every man and their dog requesting to use it instead of the long walk to the main toilets. The staff again were great at politely advising where the main toilets were. There's no place for standing customers within an accessible section. Promoters need to stop this practise to ensure ALL have a view of the gig. Not all of us are blessed with the ability to stand and it just leads to chaos because not all of us are blessed with manners, apparently. Overall a nice venue with great staff. It's a shame the promoters want to squeeze as many people in as possible and we nearly couldn't get to the venue because of the location of the accessible entrance.
Loved seeing The Saw Doctors here. Great atmosphere, sound was great too. Nice venue, first time there. The only negative was the price of food and drink, could have been a bit cheaper in my opinion. But overall, a great experience.
Absolutely fantastic venue! We came to see The Hacienda Classical performance and were not disappointed! The entire experience, from the bar staff, to the crowd, to the security was top notch. Would 100% return and highly recommend!
Pretty good venue, all the events I've been to have been well organised. The ground is sloped so as long as you're not under 5 foot you should be able to see! Get there very early if you want a seat. Only downfall is that they only have toilets on one side of the venue, it takes about 10 minutes to walk through the crowd and get to the toilets if you happen to be on the wrong side of the venue/stage.
I didn't expect that 20 years later I would see my idol Avril in Manchester. Although this venue is small and inconspicuous, it brings us together and we can see the stage from all angles, which is the biggest advantage over large sports venues! The atmosphere of the performance was superb. We could see the train driver on the bridge waving to us. Everyone was waving at the moment! The staff were also very friendly! Lifelong memories! Thank you all!
Great venue for a concert. I sat on the steps which were perfect! Great for a relaxing evening sitting down or being close up and dancing around
Yesterday, I got to experience the Castlefield Bowl for the first time since 2021, I love this area yes you are squished like a can of sardines like no joke but what makes this special is you have a great view no matter where you stand so if you get the opportunity to see you're favourite artists I would highly recommend doing it at this place
Well, I'll start by saying .... get in there very early.... I was there to see the Manics 12/7/24 ... I got in about half an hour before the gig and was told to keep moving ....so much so that eventually we ended up back outside of the gig ...stood watching through a fence . it was way too full ... 75 quid, and I could only hear the bands..... I wasn't on my own ... £6:30 for a 330ml beer, too .... very disappointed.. everyone who has paid should at least get a view ...... so again ... get in there early.... very early....
