What a fantastic find in the Castlefield Basin - worth going if only to cross the Rochdale canal via the secret bridge - just follow the signs to get there. The exhibits are for sale and there should be something to suit all tastes.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
I can't believe I have only recently found this delightful gallery. It is tucked away in a lovely building and location nestled beside the canal in Castlefield. I have visited a couple of times now and the works on display are fabulous. The owner Ian is a very knowledgeable and interesting man that made me feel very welcome, unlike some places. Definitely well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.
Sadly, due to Covid, I haven't actually been able to visit the gallery, however, I have been lucky enough to purchase a truly stunning piece of art from it. I bought a painting by Steven Heaton and am absolutely thrilled with it! It arrived super professionally packaged and was even better than imagined, having only seen it online. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the Ian at the gallery and would highly recommend viewing the collections, even if only online for the present time.
Great small gallery of contemporary art next to canal basin.
Great experience with Saul Hay Gallery. Professional, efficient and very accommodating. Ian was extremely helpful and forthcoming, it was a joy to work with him and I look forward to future interactions.
A fabulous contemporary art gallery that shows exciting artworks by excellent artists in a charming historic building overlooking a canal in Castlefield.
A lovely little gallery just off the beaten track. The space is excellently curated and the owner was lovely to talk to. Definitely worth a visit if not multiple visits! I will be checking it out on the website regularly to see what's on so I can go back again.
A stunning building, housing THE most stunning collection of art and sculpture. The 'one' collection really is a 'something for everyone' collection with the Omid Asadi leaves being my particular favourites and well worth the visit alone. This really is an exciting new gallery which is tucked away enough to call it one of Manchester's hidden gems- go and find it!!!
We went to see Legacy, a small but superb exhibition of art from and inspired by the mid-20th Century. Beautiful work from renowned artists, all for sale.
A beautiful gallery in a little piece of Manchester heaven... tucked away in pain sight and very much worth a visit.
