Despite the reviews, I decided to give interrent a try as they offered very competitive rates especially for young drivers like myself. I rented a "mini" classed car - Fiat 500 for a one week trip in Paris. The office was somewhat hard to find as it is not located with all of the other rental companies, but all I did was ask someone and they pointed me in the right direction. The vehicle came full of fuel with a clean interior. The agent advised me of some damage on the car that he had already noted on the contract. We found one other damaged piece that he noted in front of me to ensure I was not charged for any damages. The car was fairly new 2015 and worked great. Returning the car was very easy and quick. No hidden fees, nothing I wasn't expecting. Now... If I wasn't a young driver, I probably would have used Europcar, Enterprise, or any of the larger companies. I'd recommend this company to anyone under 21 looking to rent a car in France as they're significantly cheaper than many others. But, I'd probably use one of the larger companies if I was older.
it is cheap to rent a car from this place, but once you are there to pick up your car , it suddenly became a different story. Despite the fact that I tried to to tell them that I didn't need more insurance than I had already taken, cause I have personal insurance also, they told me that I had to buy additional cover for 5 euros pr day, since I could only use their towing service in case of an accident. Then they also wanted 7 euros for after cleaning, which I declined. The car had more damage than on the paper, so that got noticed. We came 15 min early, and they wanted extra pay if I wanted the car right away. So we waited. The feeling of, them just wanting more money was very unpleasant. The fact that they also said something about that in case of an emergency the website where I booked the car would be paying me back after I paied them, didn't make much sense.. . So for the future I prefer a car rental where the prices are up front and service included already.
We were told that the car had no damage but were completely incorrect as it had dents and scratches. This did not bother us, but you need to ensure it is documented. It came with half a tank of fuel instead of a full tank and this was also incorrectly documented. It was corrected, on drop off we were told that there were no problems then received an invoice for 37 Euro as they wanted to charge us for fuel. This was annoying as we left it with more fuel than when we started. Full to full should be full to full. It is difficult to guess how to half fill a car. Also extra charges should have been acknowledged on drop off as it is difficult to get hold of people at a later date. Due to this we would never use this company again.
Got a new car in good shape. During my trip I've lost plastic wheel cover - didn't cost me a dime since I had an insurance coverage. However I had a dispute about lack of fuel in the car returned. It has been settled down by talking to support service - solid "A" mark to these guys to their patience and understanding. A note to fellow travelers: always ask staff to check and confirm fuel level upon returning your car.
Stay away from this car rental! We rent cars all the time and this is the worst experience I have had and by far. The car was dirty at pick up. Inside and Outside. That was only a warning sign. After a few days the car started to make a really worrying sound when turning the wheel. I called the assistance. Their answer: either I could bring the car back to CDG or "drive slowly" really good piece of advice, isn't it?. We were too far to drive the car back and that was their problem to fix it. They are not even cheap. When we returned the car they really tried to charge all kinds of unheard of fees. Thankfully I took loads of pictures before leaving. They probably increase their margin by charging imaginary fees.. I repeat: we have rented dozens of cars in different countries: never had a single problem. I am mostly upset because they did rent us a car that was potentially dangerous putting my family in potential danger.
We rented a car from Inter-rent and we picked our car at 8pm. On our way to the hotel other drivers were flashing their lights at us only then did we realize that our position lights were not working. We called the service center and they asked us to drive back to the airport to exchange the car. When we got back the rental was closed so we called them again and they suggested we drive back to the hotel and come in the morning. There was no way we drove without lights in the night. So we called the local police for help and she suggested we rent a hotel at the airport and get a refund the next morning. The day when we went to exchange our car the agent was extremely rude at the beginning and even wanted to charge us for the fuel consumption. After arguing with him for almost 30 mins he gave us a new car and asked us to write an email to gold car for a refund of the hotel. We did the same and never got the refund. Anyways I think we learnt a lesson never to trust local car rentals. Inter rent has been our go to car rental but this time we scratch off the name from our rentals. In short, horrible customer service and broken cars. 3 cars they gave us had no lights
This is the worst car rental experience that I have ever had. They block a huge amount of money on your credit card 1300 Euros for one day rental, 3 times more than Enterprise and Europcar and they say they will release it 5 days after the return, but it has been 2 weeks and they haven't released my money yet!. As a few other reviews have said, don't rent from this company. Even if you save a few bucks in the beginning, you have to pay at least twice later to fix the problems they cause you.
Worst rental company ever! Office difficult to find. No signs. Waited over 2 hours to be served. Paid extra for upgraded car, but not given. Too angry to argue about it by that point. Wanted me to pay €7 to clean the car. Was told if I used breakdown service I would be charged €250 even for puncture, so paid €5 per day extra for breakdown insurance. Pressured to pay for full insurance and excess waver. Refused!! Damage report sheet not filled in correctly. An obvious ploy to charge for damage on return! Will never use this company again.
What a mess. The check counter in was chaotic. There were only 2 chairs to sit on with many people waiting. Only one person was issuing cars and also accepting car returns at 10am on a Saturday in August in Paris CDG. The car in the picture is what they tried to give me at first, but I refused to accept it. The next car they gave me was of poor standard with 45000km on the clock, very dirty interior, with cigarette burns inside etc. The check out document showed only one minor scratch on the sheet. But in reality the car body had numerous scratches.It had clearly had had a minor front impact. The fm antenna ariel was snapped off its the base and hanging on the roof of the car. The odometer reading per the document was also 150km less than the actual km on the car odometer!! The car had not been washed. The staff that assisted me looked overworked and irate, they had very poor to no English ability, which is ok. I think their management is non supportive and are to blame. I saw no real management at all and the office was dirty, with many vacuum cleaners, car baby seats and soap bottles dumped in a pile in the corner of the office. The office itself is in what looked like a shipping container dumped in the parking lot where the other big companies park their cars. They share their small office it with Europcar's car return staff. If you want want a drama-free experience then stay away from this company. If you can pay a bit more, perhaps use one the of the big companies that have an office located inside the terminal 2 building.
The office is in the parking, is a bit hard to find. They attend us fast and gently. They say that the car only had a little damage in rear door but when we check it had a lot more of damage and the car was not clean. It had a cristal broken on the pilot seat. Despite this I had not problem when i gave back the car, and they refund the kaution in one week.
