Came to the INOX for my end of year uni law ball. The staff were lovely and the food were a lot nicer than I expected. The venue was nice and it was a lovely place. Would recommend as a function
We had our wedding reception at Inox and we had a wonderful time! They were very flexible with helping us sort everything we wanted and also with providing a delicious hot fork buffet menu too. The staff were all super helpful and friendly especially Hannah who is the wedding coordinator and helped organise everything with us. I only have one gripe and that's that the kitchen staff threw away our wedding cake topper which was a little thoughtless but other than that everything was spot on and would definitely recommend for a wedding reception or other parties Thank you!!
Great place for an event. I was there for a planned weekend with Sheffield University. It seems a little difficult to get in at weekends as most of the doors are closed. Keep that in mind when booking
Superb friendly and professional service right from the start. Good choice of beers and drinks, food was excellent all round. Shame it only opens in the daytime but will visit again. Highly recommended.
I have been a few times for random events which have been good and the staff are very friendly, however the food has been average. Most recently I went for afternoon tea, everything was fine, the food was good not the best but fine for the price. But what really bugged me, I don't like normal tea or coffee so I asked a fruit tea instead, which for most places is not a problem, but at inox I had to pay extra! I feel this does not cost any more than normal tea so should be an option. People who don't like tea or coffee have to pay the same price for the afternoon tea but have no drink? I have been to afternoon teas both cheaper and more expensive and all have been more accommodating. It's a shame really, spoilt it for me.
About 14 of the family went to a wonderful Burns Night. From start to finish it was a great experience. The Burns night ceremony included piping in the Haggis and a reading from a Burns scholar which was very entertaining. The food was delicious - it's was my first Haggis. Will definitely go again next time and look out for other events.
It tries hard but seems to fall short. Some really great food and some not so great. Think I made a bad choice of main for me but disregarding that I don't think it was well thought out. Superb service when we arrived, then they forgot all about us when a large group / event came in. Try it tho, we might have been unlucky.
I booked a table for 11 of us at 12.30 and disappointed that it took till 13.30 to see any sign of a starter and even they came out with long gaps in between. The 2 people who ordered soup had to return them as too salty. After an interval the soups were returned but unfortunately they had to leave them as tasteless. Overall the rest of the food okay but not a patch on two previous visits. Also as we appeared to be the only group dining apart from one other couple, why were a group allowed to set up a camera to film on the table next to us .No explanation was given even though their tripod was set up right next to one of our diners. Altogether a disappointing experience.
Overall rather disappointed for what I payed. When mass catering you must know how to keep food hot this place doesn't and Staff are very keen to clear away unattended drinks so if going to toilet take your drink with you.
Very good service and excellently presented food. Lunchtime menu is great value. Not just for students or staff - it is open to all.
