This was our first visit,after driving past it numerous times and saying "we must try it" Today we did and really enjoyed the experience. Comfortable location,airy bar,very good,friendly and very helpful staff,especially the barman Will. We ordered a chicken new yorker,as well as a roast,together with lime and lemonade and a pint of Strongbow Original cider,which with a blue light discount came to £22. I've added photos but would recommend this as a great place to eat or drink.
Very reasonable prices. Amenities and rooms not at the high end but very good value, priced to attract those looking for budget accommodation. Staff friendly and accommodating. Clean although rooms are outdated. Would definitely use again.Rooms: 3/5
I really love staying here. It is my favourite hotel that I have stayed in in Portsmouth the staff are very friendly and helpful and supportive and understanding and non judgemental and good listeners and patient. It is good value for money and you can relax here and it is clean and the beds are comfortable and the food is delicious. I really enjoyed my stay thank you.
We often stay here when visiting family on a short break. Rooms suit our needs and are reasonably priced. The rooms are quiet as they back on to a golf course. Food is available from the inn attached to the hotel. Food is good, staff are very friendly. We enjoyed our stay Rooms: Basic, but severed our needs Food & drinks: Food was reasonabley priced and off good quality
Very basic acomodation but definitely worth it for the rice the menu for the restaurant downstairs includes many home comfort dishes as well as some more exotic choices.
Ive been coming to this hotel several times over the last few years and have had a pleasant stay. However these last couple of visits have not been very good. The staff are very nice both in reception and restaurant. However in my opinion the cleaning company who they use need to be changed. The cleanliness of the rooms has really deteriorated. The carpets in the bedrooms should be clean and should be vaccuumed up to the skirting. We found things in our room which we shouldnt have especially as my grandson had an allergic reaction to something. When i spoke to the manageress on reception yesterday before leaving she was clearly uninterested. I come to Portsmouth a few times a year but im not sure that I want to stay here again unless things improve.
Good place to stay for a few nights. Rooms comfortable and clean. It's in a good location for visiting museums etc. Rooms: Clean, spacious Nearby activities: So many places to visit, of course portsmouth with the spinnaker, The Warrior etc, but also the Brickworks museum and Fort Nelson. Loads more to do in the area as well Food & drinks: It is adjacent to the Hungry Horse pub, good food reasonably priced and well cooked.
Pub:sticky tables, dirty cutlery, over loaded staff doing their best. Car parking good. Rooms: Hotel: Very tired room, load locals, no air-conditioning, two sleepless nights.
Amazing place with friendly staff. By far one of the best places I've stayed. Also not far from so many beaches and takeaways Rooms: Lovely rooms, comfortable beds. Ensuite toilet and bath. Has a Samsung Smart TV which has the ability for you to connect your smartphone to it wirelessly as well as screen mirror Walkability: Walking distance to many beaches Food & drinks: Has a restaurant and bar Noteworthy details: Rooms are very spacious
Good size room, but all very tired and past it's sell by date. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Hungry horse also on the same site. Breakfast is available there.Rooms: 3/5
