Just to be clear my scoring system: 1/ Don't go, just don't. 2/ I can't recommend going 3/ I enjoyed it but probably won't go back 4/ I enjoyed it, would go back especially if invited but would probably look elsewhere myself first. 5/ I enjoyed it, would invite/recommend others there myself Have to say I was really looked after from the moment I arrived. I was found a quiet little spot for an online meeting I had when my room wasn't ready and plied with coffee and shortbread - all sorted by the cleaner! So grateful. Room was clean and tidy. I'd say traditional - my daughter would say dated I suppose but I liked it! Great stay and took a short drive into the countryside for a lovely run. Sadly didn't get a chance to try the spa on my fleeting business trip. There was a wedding there at the same time but we barely noticed which I think is a good thing for both sides!
Booked an overnight with a friend. pros- we liked the room, the beds were very comfy and the majority of the room was fairly clean. the spa was clean and the steam room & sauna were good. The breakfast next morning was really nice and we felt throughout that staff were friendly and helpful. cons- the bathtub was very stained and not nice to look down to when in shower. The flush on the toilet didn't work particularly well. In the spa the pool was quite cold and there were a number of out of order signs in the changing rooms. The showers in the changing rooms had limited toiletries in them with no shampoo. The dinner for the price wasn't the best and I expected better with £20 for a small bit of fish & a few chips that weren't very nice. Our deal included breakfast but quite a few of them have an additional surcharge like £6 for avocado & egg on toast which seems a bit of a rip off. I feel overall its expensive for what it is. I would return but only on an offer that is a lot less money.
I came for a spa day with a friend on a Sunday in October and was really disappointed with how run down it was. I passed this feedback on via email at the time but no one responded to me. My treatment and therapist was lovely and the staff were really nice. However, I was so disappointed with the facilities and how run down the changing rooms and pool area were. Half of the showers were out of order and didn't feel clean at all. There was a strong drain smell coming from the toilets and the sanitary bin was overflowing. There were used towels and robes lying around everywhere easily sorted by having a towel bin within the changing area. It was extremely busy with only 2 hairdryers and one changing room meaning you could hardly move either. My friend is pregnant and there wasn't anywhere for her to sit and get ready. Out at the pool area most of the beds were already taken, the shower didn't work at all and sauna and steam room just felt grubby to be honest. I've had spa days a few times in the past at your hotel and always felt it was a nice experience so I was really disappointed at how much the place has been neglected. I purchased two vouchers online at £70 each and we spent around £50 in the restaurant on lunch. Even though this was a deal I still feel this was really disappointing and not value for money. Used to come here but wouldn't come back now.
First impression when pulling up to hotel was very good. Plenty of parking. Unfortunately the room let the place down. Nice large room, clean and nicely decorated in a classic way but not air conditioning and no fridge or safe in room. The view from room was also not good but it wasnt far to walk from room to outside to take in the pleasant surroundings. Corridors to room also not inviting. Staff were helpful and attentive and Service were good we received bucket of ice for our drinks to make up for missing fridge. Breakfast very enjoyable. Pub and outside space were good. Spa facilities are good also.
After a few issues with our booking the hotel was more than accommodating and sorted us out for a birthday weekend. Food and drinks were wonderful, the rooms and spa were so clean and relaxing and the massage I had will keep me going for the next few months!! We also enjoyed food and entertainment at a tribute night and really enjoyed our stay overall. Thank you to all the staff that made this a weekend for us to look back on with smiles and laughter! We will be back for the next big spa weekend for sure
I have never really left a review for a Hotel before but i had to with this one. First of all the my bed sheet was a little dirty. Had to ask the reception to change that. The bed was rock solid. Ok if you want to fix a back problem but i just wanted a comfy bed and a good night sleep. I said to the receptionist and she kind of acted if that was a common remark from customers. Last comment was the location. You need taxis all the time. No public transport near you. There is also a side road i could hear the cars drive by at night which kept me up the first night. the 2nd night i was just so tired i was able to sleep. Anyway i hope they can improve with my feedback
The facilities were fantastic, rooms a little old fashioned, but very clean. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced for the quality. My only issue was my treatment felt rushed, the therapist was running late and due to this my treatment was cut short. I expected to feel relaxed as I have done previously with treatments this length. I left the treatment feeling disappointed. My mum however loved her treatment. Food & drinks: Chicken and leak pie, steak, sticky toffee pudding and the crumble were all delicious!
We had a very enjoyable meal in the Scottish Steakhouse. Staff were very helpful on what was a pretty busy night for them. This was our second visit to the Steakhouse and would thoroughly recommend it to family and friends for a special treat.Service: 5/5
I attended the Inchyra for a spa day. It was a lovely experience from start to finish. Warm greeting from the main reception and the staff within the spa were very kind and made everything comfortable and relaxing. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some me time. Therapist made me feel at ease and chilled throughout treatments. Afternoon tea - the scones were YUM. Thank you for a relaxing, enjoyable time.
This is our third time staying here. Every time the staff are so welcoming & wonderful. They make us feel at home & also make my disabled son Paul feel valued. Beautiful setting, great facilities & lovely food. We can’t wait until we come & visit you all again.Rooms: 5/5
