Good for very young kids if you can get a table right outside the play area then you can keep a good eye on them. Decent food and cheap at 3 courses for £12 or 2 courses for £10. Bit steep for kids meal at £5.95 and extra £1.50 for fruit shoot on top however the play area is only £1 so you do save on the £3 charged by most of these types of kid friendly play area type restaurants. Not the place for romantic meal or high quality but does rate well for what it is. Good friendly and quick service.

We had a family and friends lunch at the Beancross. The service was excellent the staff very friendly and professional. Every one enjoyed their meal. The only complaint was from my 91 year old Mum who said the portion of steak pie would have fed two of her! We go quite often and the service and food have always been great.

Nice enough venue but the meal was poor, my wife had steak pie and it was really bad with tons of bisto gravy. Steak was alright, but chips were cheap catering chips. Very unimpressed at my first and last visit.

Yes Bean Cross does nice food, my husband goes for the steak pie a lot, & if you are a family & bring along young children there's a play area there which they can play & burn energy while you eat.

Excellent pricing policy and food is a good standard as is the service. Would recommend.
