This was our first experience in buying a car from Hendy Land Rover and its been excellent from start to finish. We initially dealt with Colleen who was incredibly tentive in assisting us with any questions we had. We travelled quite far to view this particular vehicle and on arrival it had been cleaned and polished and presented very well. We then met with Harry who was professional in dealing with our requirements. Ben dealt with our handover and was so helpful ! As we were leaving the manager Danny came over to wish us well and if we had any problems not to hesitate to get in touch. Would 100% recommend

Service is shocking.... Save yourself the time and go elsewhere! Customer service is non existence, avoid the following people Nick Greensales, Carla and Alan service team . Latest saga is that I've tried for 2 weeks to book my car in for a £600 service but no one can be bothered to return my call , Harwood Landrover now have a new Customer. Hendy HQ do better!
Spent over £1k on a new spoiler after waiting months for the part to arrive. Spoiler replaced and no difference to reception. Contacted Hendy the next day to be told it will need be booked in for diagnosis, not next week, but in 2 months times because their diary was full… made out to seem that I was being unreasonable! Been in touch with the Service Manager who said he’d contact JLR technical department… 3 weeks, a couple of phone calls, and an email later I’ve still not heard anything and can’t get in touch with him. Have dealt with this dealership a few times and have always been dissatisfied and unimpressed.
Several dealings with JLR Southampton over the last 2 years since purchasing a brand new vehicle. Unresponsive and slow sums them up well. Currently called 3 times this week regarding a warranty problem- awaiting a call back from the service department for 5 days. It appears they cannot perform the basics of their job and return a phone call. I would suggest purchasing a car from an alternative brand which doesn't break, unless you enjoy being carless for 3 weeks while they 'fix' your vehicle. They may consider themselves to be a premium brand, but they certainly do not provide premium service or products.
I ordered my Defender a year ago, signed a contract and paid a deposit. Just before my build date, i was informed i had to pay £4000 more or lose my car. After speaking with the management team I cancelled mine. Whats the point of a contract if you dont know the final price. Clearly they have no morals or think a signed contract is not worth the paper its written on. My advice is go elsewhere, or you will be conned the same as I was. If you have a contract with them and are waiting for your car, review it, and save being let down after a long wait. Ps footnote. Please read reply from Hendys. Interesting they were quick enough to contact me when the price went up, but now want me to send in my details to investigate. In short they are a total waste of space.
Hendy & LR Assist do not speak to each other - leaving customer caught between the two. 2 MONTH wait for a 1 hour fix to my car - totally unacceptable. Then when picking car up I witness others being totally ripped off for services - e.g. one lady charged £200 for wiper replacement - on a car that goes back to the lease company next month... and she says she never had an issue with the wipers... Wipers can be bought for £30 in costco and take minutes to change.
Generally awful experience. This week's annual service for the Range Rover Sport was poor. Tyres inflated incorrectly, spare wheel left loose. The icing on the cake however was when they persuaded my wife to switch the front tyres which were 70% worn. These genuis' put Pirelli All Seasons on the front, to match with ContiSport Contact on the back. Not just the brands not matching, but totally different tyres. Now I have high performance on the back and all weather at the back. Their response to this complaint? .....Errr Well at least they are the same on each axle. I guess they don't understand how these tyres perform differently in alternate weather conditions. No clue. I have asked to discuss this with the MD, will report back if anything positive happens.
Ordered a new defender through a car sourcing company in 2021 because they secured a discount. Hendy have now, after I made payment in full decided that I cannot have the car unless I sign some unfair contract. Have instructed solicitors but decided to just give up and get my money back, 2 weeks later still no car and no money, avoid at all cost, disgusting!
