I went into this store on the 24/02/18. everything was fine until i got to the tills. i wasnt happy with the checkout lady named Ginetta. i was with my family, she didnt greet us nicely, she started getting rude with my sister because my sister accidently put food onto the scales, so she didnt approve of this and started talking rudely and aggressively literally chucking her shopping over as she was scanning. my sister couldnt defend herself as she lacks speaking english. i wasnt happy with her approach so i intervened and she became abusive with me. i was explaining to her that was no way to treat your customers, but she did not seem to care and carried on aggresively scanning the shopping. i wanted to speak to the manager at this point, but the manager was nowhere to be seen, that even the employers went off looking for him. i had to end up leaving as my baby was crying in the car. i was furious of this experience as me and my family have been coming here for nearly 20yrs. the checkout lady seemed to have no checkout manners in how to deal with customers, and she was the only one to be seen on the tills. infact there always seem to be only one till open and a long queue. iceland need to fix up with their customer service skills. this has happend more than a couple of times now but today i felt something needed to be said about it, and especially the way i was dealt by Ginetta today and also the store manager chris. stay clear of this store in hitchin!!

It's an Iceland. Same layout inside as any other. Food is cheap though.
