Amazing experience visiting the Cenotaph. During Remembrance Week & then on Remembrance Day itself. Sombre & uplifting at the same time. No trouble experienced by me at all, despite some scuffles I saw through the news. Quite respectful in fact.Visited onWeekendWait time10–30 minReservation recommendedNo
Absolutely a moving and emotional day put very rewarding. We came last year and are now making it our annual event. The atmosphere and policing is exceptional they are what makes you proud to be BRITISH.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
I was an invited guest of the 90th Belgian Cenotaph Military Parade held on 13th July 2024, attended by the King and Queen of Belgium and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. The official ceremony and wreath laying was held at the Cenotaph, followed by the Horseguards Parade and the Wellington Barracks. Strict security was in place with many roads closed off and edged with barriers so the public could view the Defence Forces from both Belgium and the United Kingdom. A truly remarkable experience!
A special memorial for those lost to war and conflict who fought for the british forces. Adorned by poppy wreathes every November. Sits in the middle of a relatively busy road near to downing street and the war office. Given 5 stars due to its special significance as a memorial. Free to visit.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Lovingly cared for since it was unveiled in 1920. A place of remembrance for those that lost their lives in the World Wars and others since. Very moving to even walk past it, it must be amazing to be here on the 11th November
It’s a reminder freedom is not free, whether in the UK or US or Europe or anywhere else where liberty is valued. It must be defended against tyranny, autocracy and dictatorships. Many have made the ultimate sacrifice.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Iconic war memorial set in the middle of Whitehall. Once a year on Remembrance Day, dignitaries lay wreaths here on behalf of British service personnel killed in past wars.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

Nice to have a place to pay your respects to the men and women who gave their lives for us in the war.. booked after well and just a bit up the road is a Monument fir the women of the war.. there are statues around to and again just up the road is horse guards parade
Iconic memorial for those that have fought and died in world conflicts for the United Kingdom. Poignant and worth taking five minutes out of your day to respect those that have died in conflicts. Located outside Downing Street on the road towards the Houses of Parliament. Well maintained, even though it sits in the middle of a city street.
