The staff were so helpful
Went to Morecambe branch this morning. After the assistant laughed at my mask an FP3 type I asked the assistant to wear a mask. She said that she was behind a piece of Perspex which was 2 feet high and had the bottom cut out so no need for one. I explained that it provided no safety and that the principles of fluid dynamics proved that. As soon as I said it I knew that I was wasting my breath. Give her her due she went and put on a mask and I explained I felt it necessary as I an at higher risk of covid and for people like me covid 19 is still a reality. She accepted this and I thanked her. Before I could enquire about some kitchen cupboards a lady came out of the office quite irritated and pointed out that assistants did not have to wear a mask and they had to be comfortable doing so. I understand this and that’s why I asked politely that the assistant wear a mask. I explained again that I am high risk and courtesy costs nothing. She then stated that she was high risk but she did not wear a mask in a closed space with no ventilation and joe public in and out all day long and felt she had to come from her office to interfere in a situation that did not warrant it so I doubt it. I explained that I was happy to leave the shop but she stated I did not have to do that and left. I would like to point out to Howdens that for thousands of people covid 19 is still a reality and all we ask is a bit of respect and understanding from people to keep everyone as safe as they can be and not left feeling like a leper for wearing a mask. Also please take down your little piece of Perspex It is doing nothing apart from giving a false sense of safety. Pity I can’t give no stars as this is the true score.

Nice selection of kitchens. Rumour has it, that Tyson Fury had just bought his new kitchen here. Well I'm not going to argue with him. Decision made!
