Bought a new kitchen and had it fitted from here, kitchen lovely but fitting was just one cock up after another, disappointed with the customer service when I complained, they had our money so obviously didn't need to go out of their way to rectify

Fantastic! We needed 20m of planed wood and looked online at prices, several other places wanted to charge £30-35 for the wood, then added vat on top and then delivery which worked out at £70-85...we were shocked, we also tried local branches of big named shops, they were the same and then we remembered this places, we enquired over the phone, placed an order and delivered 5 hours later for under £20...we are very happy and highly recommended this shop.

Helpful hardware shop plus kitchen and bathroom shop. Usually stocks the things a diy enthusiast needs and more than the multiples. Good prices and service for hardware in my experience.

I agree entirely with Jillian below.  My parents had a bathroom 'fitted', not very well if I may say,  where items paid for were not used and the water pressure from shower is rubbish so main part can't be used.  Told them pump was needed at time of ordering but nothing done. Extra paid for a pump after,  another plumber went to fit and told my parents it was the wrong one, also said previous plumbers only used part of first order and not completed the job. Parents trying to sort out but are owed quite a bit in reimbursement of payment.

Hi Jillian & Gordon,

I'm the store manager at Homemakers 1st Stop, we've unfortunately not got the login details for our google account at the moment which has meant I've had to respond to you in this manner.

May i start out with a response for Jillian;

Upon reading this review, i have contacted your parents to speak to them directly with the problems they have ensued; In regards to the white tiles, we have explained to your parents that as we were patching up the tiles where the bath had been removed there weren't enough of the original white tiles. We then had to put in some other white tiles which were as similar as we could find. In regards to the grouting, we asked the independent installer to go back and correct this. However upon speaking to your parents again today, we will now be sending a different installer to go back and re grout this area for them. 

We take the feedback we receive from our independent installers very seriously and have a zero tolerance policy for poor worksmanship. 

Here at Homemakers 1st Stop we install many, many bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms for the elderly and feel that tarring us with that brush is very unfair when we receive very positive feedback from 95% of our customers. 

I have asked your parents to let you know that I have spoken to them and they are now pleased we are addressing the issue with the grouting.

Hi Gordon,

I believe since you've written this review, the remaining work for your mums bathroom has now been completed.
In regards to your mums bathroom. I apologise for the stress that may of been caused in the installation of your mums bathroom.First and foremost, which items do you feel have not been fitted very well? Admittedly there was some problems with the shower pump, however that was due to the complexity of the water system and we only ordered what the plumber had recommended us to order however this did change  once the plumber had started to install the original pump.
