Since we were unable to try on or even unpack a dress shirt from the packaging we trusted the the staff who assured us that it is 100% cotton. We were taken to the checkout immediately like they were scared we would change our minds and wanted to secure the sale. Thank god we did not pay much for the shirt as it turned out to be 75% polyester and barely 25% cotton. Of course if we've known we wouldn't buy it. Will not go back in there ever

Found out today from the checkout person that the store is no longer closing down. They have been bought out by some other company which is really good news for me. I really like shopping here, the prices are competitive and the selection of items are always good. Great to see them restocking the shelves instead of closing down. Swindon would not be the same without a House Of Fraser
Tons of stock still for sale. I was looking for a particular style of black jeans, they didn't have what I wanted. I had gone in through one entrance and went round twice as I nearly ended up leaving via a different one. It was a bit like going round a roundabout more than once because you can't find your exit. And I saw they have got loads of stock still to be sold and I mean LOADS OF STOCK, tons of it in fact. Men's clothes especially I would say, nothing I wanted though, also toddlers clothes, women's, plus some lingerie and swimwear on rails marked down to ridiculous prices in one corner it felt more like a jumble sale. There were also gifts and home products that were laid out on varnished wooden shelving that had clearly had some time spent on it. It was as if the store did not know what it wanted to be. It is based on two floors, ground and first floor, downstairs is empty and closed off the restaurant was closed as well. Or at least I assumed they were open at some point in the store's life. It was empty, barely any customers, if there were any at all.
First time we have visited in a few years. You get followed a lot by security staff, staff are very stuck up however they need to remember the work for sports direct selling mainly Donnay Sports goods, Not the shop it used to be.
The staff was extremely helpful and offered their opinions on the dresses I tried on for an event in the same day. The sales there are incredible. It's one of my favourite stores in Swindon to visit.
A huge store on several floors is an outlet fotr several other brands apart their own. Mostly at discounted prices, bear in mind they are not a cheap store so prices are not rock bottom. Wide range of goods on sale sptead over large areas. Need to keep a close eye on small children as they could easily get lost . if you are in the area worth a visit
Not a great store compared to other HOFs... Came here looking for a Christmas ball dress and was greeted to a whole floor of sale dresses. Great, I thought, until I realised they were pretty much all damaged in some way but not stated on the price ticket zips broken, beads/stones missing and thread coming out of everywhere, or the 'dregs' of stock in all the last-to-sell sizes. The two size 6-8 dresses I managed to find I tried on and both turned out to be damaged. Very disorganised floor, no staff on hand... can't really comment for the rest of the store, but imagine it is hopefully better.
Great UGG gloves bought for £22 today. Online price £125, absolutely delighted. Getting back to being fully stocked. Great mens brands too, Ted Baker, Paul Smith etc. You have to remember its an outlet store though and so not all sizes and styles available.
