This store has come on leaps and bounds. A few years ago, it appeared very understaffed and you had to wait hours to be served by mopey staff. But in the last 2-3 years the staff have become very knowledgeable, proactive and appear to be enjoying their jobs. Nowadays, I can't speak highly enough about the customer service and can-do approach. A brilliant store.

The staff in Chester are very patient and whenever I go in I always buy a pair of shoes or more. Having been told to change my shoes by a physio as I did not want the operation for a meniscus cartlidge in my knee, I went to Hotter. The shoes are expensive but my work shoes last a year and with all the walking to and from work and at work I think they are a bargain. I love the 3 for 2 offer as I can buy work shoes and 2 other different colours. There are always Hotter shoes I want!!!

Served today by a delightful young woman called Kayla. She was attentive despite having to serve more than one customer at a time, painstaking with the other customer who had piles of shoes open all around her, friendly and helpful towards me. Kayla was an excellent example of sales assistant and she is an excellent example for the store. She helped me decide on a replacement pair of shoes and was knowledgeable about procedures and how to ensure I was an entirely satisfied customer. She actually made my day by her consideration for my mobility issues and as someone who has lifelong worked with young people, she impressed me massively!
