I went for a Sunday lunch last weekend. The venue itself is stunning and having been a number of times, I was looking forward to trying a roast dinner here. I ordered the roast beef and it was absolutely delicious. The trimmings were also lovely. The cauliflower cheese is incredible. My only comment would be that there was one thin slice of beef, I personally would have liked it either thicker or two slices. This was the same feedback from the rest of our party. Otherwise, great service, good local beer from shiny brewery, amazing tasting food! Highly recommended!!
Stopped here in the 3 storey home. Stunning throughout, sauna on the top floor was a treat. Bath in the bedroom, above and beyond effort put into this building. Highly recommend!
Absolutely a sensational experience, beautiful room, the barn cottage, unbelievable, and the food was amazing, very fresh staff, especially Richard and Tom, couldn't do enough for us and attention to detail was outstanding, would definitely recommend this place.
We went here for my uncle and aunty's wedding evening. Such a beautiful place as soon as you pull into the grounds, welcoming atmosphere and very friendly staff. Most surprising was the bar wasn't overly expensive in the function room either and was serving well known drinks
Horsley is a lovely venue but unfortunately would not return for afternoon tea. Once we had our tea nobody came to see if everything was ok or ask if we required more tea which we did. Other guests at the same time said the same and one lady went to ask. Scones were cold and hard, cakes were very disappointing to the fact we weren't sure what two were and obviously not fresh or home made. Very disappointing as it had been a present.
What a fantastic place for both to stay and for a Wedding! Myself and my now wife were married at Horsley Lodge and had the most amazing day! When we visited for the first time when looking for a venue, we loved the setting and location, the countryside surrounding and the building itself. We have had the pleasure to have our wedding planned by Laura Ryder, the Wedding Coordinator at Horsley Lodge who is a lovely person and a real professional at her job. The small details are not missed, the big day itself is broken down and planned with detail to allow you Bride and Groom to focus on other things needed such as photographer, cars, cake, decorations etc again a lot of these are present when Horsley lodge host wedding open days. Laura was and is absolutely brilliant and we are both very grateful to her and the fantastic staff at Horsley Lodge who helped our day run like clockwork. We stayed in the Barn Cottage which was itself, something you dream of having as a place to stay for a Wedding. Our guests who visited all said it’s something from a film or story; lovely place to stay and we will be coming back to stay there or even try a different cottage on our anniversary. The food was again fantastic! The chef done an amazing job. The guests sang their praises very highly. Not a single negative or even constructive comment; just all positive. We will come back for a lunch and evening meal too. I cannot share enough how great this venue is. The wedding day is one of the most important and special days of your life, and thanks to Laura, all of the staff Reception, kitchen, bar, restaurant, cleaners Horsley Lodge has our gratitude for that special day being a reality. We had our wedding here at the end of March and my word what a venue Horsley Lodge is... ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT.. from the moment we booked the date with Laura Horsley Lodge wedding planner nothing was too much trouble. Everyone at the lodge is so lovely but professional with it too and really catered to our needs. We would definitely recommend this as a wedding venue or even just for a drink and some lunch it's stunning views really draw you in. THANK YOU for being brilliant hosts, Tom operations manager also pulled out all the stops for us and made sure we were looked after. Lovely place with great staff.
Fantastic family function at Horsley Lodge! We recently booked the main function room for a special family occasion and had the best day ever. The staff were amazing and so helpful especially the duty manager Thomas who looked after us on the day. He was so professional and couldn't do enough for us. The hot buffet was incredible and all of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food and the day. The venue itself is stunning and very impressive. And a special thanks to our DJ Mighty Mike who entertained the children and adults alike, he really made it a great celebration! All in all, it couldn't have been a better day. Highly recommended.
We held a wedding at Horsley Lodge on the 9th September 2022 and I can only say it was the most wonderful day all round, Laura and all the staff were just amazing, from the planning of our day right through to the end of the day. Food was perfect the room looked amazing, I would love to do it all again, thank you all at Horsley who made our day a wedding not to forget certainly for us and our guests were also blown away with the venue and how well they were look after. 5***** all round..
