I went for a Sunday lunch last weekend. The venue itself is stunning and having been a number of times, I was looking forward to trying a roast dinner here. I ordered the roast beef and it was absolutely delicious. The trimmings were also lovely. The cauliflower cheese is incredible. My only comment would be that there was one thin slice of beef, I personally would have liked it either thicker or two slices. This was the same feedback from the rest of our party. Otherwise, great service, good local beer from shiny brewery, amazing tasting food! Highly recommended!!
From the 1st step into reception, we were blown away. Staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for a great weekend, even though we didn't get the football result we all wanted. We will defo return.
We went here for my uncle and aunty's wedding evening. Such a beautiful place as soon as you pull into the grounds, welcoming atmosphere and very friendly staff. Most surprising was the bar wasn't overly expensive in the function room either and was serving well known drinks
Brilliant venue for a works Christmas party! Loved the 2022 80's theme!! Food is ok, not huge portions which is good for small appetites when 3 courses!
Lovely venue for a meal. Main meal portions were fairly small, and the choice for Sunday lunch was limited, but the food was lovely.
Lovley place but the afternoon tea was quite spars? To say it had been booked well in advance, spending whole weekend next week end for daughters wedding so watch this space
Went to a wedding this weekend. Pleasant Staff. Lovely environment. Clean, well ventilated, Room beautiful. Multiple areas to sit in. Lovely.
I had the pleasure of attending a wedding reception at Horsley Lodge and oh what a lovely place. From start to finish it was fantastic. The food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I stayed overnight and the accommodation was top notch. The wedding breakfast was brilliant. Cannot find a fault.
A lovely place in Derbyshire ideal for golf lovers, also a wedding venue. Staff were absolutely amazing kind and helpful, room was clean with a comfortable bed and nice view. Meals were delicious in a very reasonable price.
Had a wonderful time at our writing retreat. The hotel staff were so friendly and accommodating and the service was fantastic. Beautiful rooms too!!
