Normally love Hoopers and thought buy something from MAC here at cosmetics Counter rather than online. I went back to counter three times and got no assistance the young girl there at MAC was more interested in her phone than customers so bought online in the end. If you want more customers then train staff to be more attentive

This is a pleasant place to visit for a coffee and snack, but we were underwhelmed on our last visit. We ordered a Club Sandwich which I always thought consisted of three slices of bread with a filling of chicken, bacon,tomato lettuce , mayo. etc. What we got was a BLTc, two slices of bread with fatty undercooked bacon, diced what I think was chicken and some salad. Not great

When looking at perfume some of the members of staff seemed very stuck up and snobby, they didn’t even ask me if I was ok or needed help, they just started at me right next to me until I felt like I had to ask them for help to stop them staring at me. I just wanted to shop in peace, I ended up helping myself better than they did.

I went into hoopers today with my friend and my dog. And I asked one of the people on make up if you can take dogs upstairs she didn't have a clue what I meant. Went upstairs and my dog had an elf slipper in his mouth. The staff there are not very polite. Will be not coming again. Poor atmosphere.

My wife went into the store,  the store assistant looked and completely ignored her, no hello or ask if she could help.  During this time other customers that came into to the store were welcomed and were acknowledged.  Maybe the store owners need to educate their staff that different ethnic groups do exist and they are not aliens.

Looked a really good and had super products.

Great store but I suggest the senior management visit Barkers at Northallerton to see how to keep up to date dynamic and relevant  they have a magic ingredient   .Stores like Robbs of Hexham just didn't have

What a wonderful, unique department store in Harrogate! The lady who served me was extremely helpful and knowledgeable as I was looking for a gift. I bought a high quality product and everyone is extremely satisfied.

Pleasant, well laid out and the only department store left in Harrogate. Has a traditional feel - and is all the better for that, like Betty's which is only 5 minutes walk away. Set in the heart of the shopping area with perfume, luxury goods, clothing etc. and a cafe in the basement. Not cheap, but better quality in most things. Helpful staff guide customers and, should you need it, the lift works, too!

The food served in the restaurant is top draw, had two excellent meals in two weeks.
