This store needs to teach it's staff customer service . Can never  find  anyone to  assist you. If you  do,they either have no knowledge  or just  don't  care.  Only use this store because I  can usually  get what I need in stock. Learnt not to try to  find  help or need any help. All staff in my experience  are very miserable and  quite rude. Actually, was confronted by a  member of  staff,when she THOUGHT  I  had tutted at her whilst she was actually  helping  another  customer.  (I hadn't  tutted  at her,but she needed  it). Young manager IS quite a  pleasant  person.  Otherwise, terrible  place for staff and  customers  service.  Only reason  for  2 stars, store is because the  store is clean and tidy.

Just getting to it is hard with the traffic issues. Some decent prices but it's like going back to the 70s of tat piled high, sold cheap, handwritten prices that fall off, others not priced at all. The tills are haphazard with few staff. And the toilets are like something out of a 1950s transport cafe. But there is the occasional good buy. Needs refresh. Urgently.

Check prices before you get to till. As till prices are over what the ticket prices say. At till I linked at what we were being charged for some seeds that had been reduced to £1 each packet but the till priced up as £1.72. I questioned this and the till operator just said OK I will take them off bill, not OK I will get them checked. After returning home I checked all the items bought and all but 2 items we had been overcharged on. Need to get this sorted. Noticed a lot of shops doing this lately. Will have to start adding up bill before getting to till or marking prices on a piece of paper to check each item as it goes  through the checkout. Homebase need to check till prices against sale prices. You must make a pretty penny overcharging.
