Hard to believe how this store has changed and not for the better. Sunday afternoon trip to Home Base used to be a pleasure but now it a chore. Laura Ashley concession has closed and the space is filled with a jumble old fire pit and portable spas. The busy coffee shop is just as good as always with people queuing for fresh delicious food alas this little gem is on notice and due to close soon. Where are the inspirational kitchen and bathroom displays? Gone to make way for take away boxed basins and toilets and a massive stock of bulk storage boxes. The general impression is of stock piled in with little thought to presentation. Sometimes change doesn't mean improvement. On a positive note the staff were more than helpful checking g out and sourcing an item for me.

Had a nice lunch. Got some great bargains. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Decent enough DIY store with some random themed elements depending on the time of year (Xmas etc)
