We got a nice welcome, checked in quickly and our room had been upgraded. A couple of things in the room could have done with maintenance, but nothing significant. The bed was really comfortable and overnight a Thursday it was quiet. We didn't have breakfast as it seemed somewhat expensive. Will come back again next time we have a stopover in the area.
Staff friendly and helpful. Typical breakfast on offer and well laid out. The room however was dated with curtains hanging off the hooks and would neither open or close. The room was also facing the main road and didn't give a good seal so could hear every noise from the front of the hotel. Served my purpose for a one night stay before an early meeting but would not recommend for stays of any longer.
Visiting December 2025. Vegan family of 2 adults and 3 children. Have to say very impressed with the menu choices and clear outline of dietary information. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Always smiling and happy to help. We gave our waitress at dinner a little bit of a complicated order due to fussy kids and allergies and everything came to the table exactly as we asked all was fresh and delicious. It very refreshing to be able to eat out and have a variety of choices. The pool, spa and gym facilities are one of the reasons we chose the hotel and it’s unusual to go to a budget hotel and be able to have a sauna and jacuzzi so really pleased about that. The adults took it in turns to use the relaxing spa facilities while the other played with the kids in the pool.nWhen we arrived at our family room we were all pleasantly suprsied at the size of it. There are 2 queen beds and 1 double sofa bed made up ready. A small dining table with 4 chairs and a smaller table with 2 chairs. Plenty of room for the whole family to move around and the children to play. The shower and bath gels and body lotion in the bathrooms are of a premium quality. The parking is easy and there is plenty of it. Just 10 minutes from Meadowhall where we took the children shopping. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a close to Sheffield area. Very family friendly.
Recently stayed at the hotel after an event in Sheffield at the arena with my 9 year old daughter. Was a simple drive to the hotel which was great as the weather was extremely bad that day. Room was really reasonable priced and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay, check in was easy and the lady on the desk was super friendly. Sadly we had to leave early the following day as my daughter felt unwell in the night so we didnt get to use the pool. Have to say the lady on the desk when leaving was very caring when stating my daughter was unwell, offing us supplies for our 2 hour journey home. We will definitely be staying again when we next visit sheffield.
The staff are all extremely friendly and efficient. The food is good.nOur only issue was the heating in the room, the wall heater was defunct, the air conditioner did not work correctly. These issues had obviously been noticed, but not addressed, as a small plug in electric heater had been supplied, which was not really big enough for the room. I think it’s time for some money to be invested to improve things in some areas.
