Again enjoyed our stay at Consort. New management had taken over the week we stayed. Good luck to them. We will be back. Jist for others info, We do find the stairs very difficult to climb as each stair riser is large. So much more prefer the ground floor, as our first visit. So in future I will request ground floor.

We had our wedding reception at the Consort Suite and our evening was fantastic. All our guests had a great time and all the staff who looked after us were great. The new manager promised us a special night and his team stepped up to the plate and delivered the perfect night for our friends and family.

Poor service, went for Christmas do, no entertainment and no food arrived after 2 hours of waiting. Still waiting for refund,would advise NOT visiting there save your money and go somewhere else. Used to be Best Western Hotel has lost status likely due to poor service, see local paper arrival re pensioner's.

Very disappointing. A group of us have been going regularly for Sunday lunch to celebrate birthdays, just loving the place, everything was 5star : the greeting on arrival so you knew your table number and were reassured you were booked in; the menu, the service and the absolutely brilliant dessert table; topped off with coffee and mints. All this was missing, ruined with one sweep.

Currently staying here as part of a wedding party. We're a party of 5 (4 adults, 1 child), 1 adult with limited mobility. Booked some time ago now, pleasant experience. Polite and helpful. Requested 2 rooms inc the disabled room. Both spacious and clean. Extras beds set up for little one upon arrival. Quick check in. We arrived quite late and they had stopped serving food. We're not local so asked for the nearest shop as one guest is diabetic and was hungry. Another guest managed to find us some crisp which was very kind of them, thank you again. The gentlemen on the desk went beyond expectation and returned to the bar with 2 sandwiches and a yogurt. My nan nearly cried. Needless to say, it's first impressions which count and we are very pleased at the moment. Staff have also been attentive with our 4 year old. Breakfast this morning was both cooked to order, with a range of cereal, pastries, yogurts etc. We still have the main event tonight. Thank you again.
