My partner and I drove down from Scotland and we booked the holiday inn leamington as it was ideally located to help my daughter move. Upon arrival Nadia was so helpful and very welcoming. And the suite was nice and big and very clean. There was only one issue and we spoke to Nadia and Lynn in the morning and they were very helpful. The breakfast was lovely, lots of variety. I have stayed in with many IHG hotels and and down the country. And I can say this one by far has been the best I’ve stayed at I cannot fault this hotel. All staff have been very welcoming and helpful, and I will most certainly stay at this hotel again.nnVery big thank you to Nadia and Lynn for being very helpful to John and I
Service: We arrived early and the room was not yet ready but they made it available to us quickly and enabled us to check in early. The manager clearly is trying to focus on service. The hotel itself is a bit dated so the service goes a long way to making up for an older hotel. We asked for a received great advice on what to do and where to go and the staff were always willing to assist including even helping us out with a bit of printing if needed.nnThe Room: We had the premier room - #109. The bed itself is hard and supportive - basically a typical hotel bed that is designed to last a long time. The room was clean, not large but large enough for our needs. I would hope that the standard room isn't much smaller than the premier room. We looked inside a suite and the suite is much much larger - well worth the upgrade cost. The hotel itself is quiet but we had some noise issues from the people in the next room - not much but enough to write about to indicate that the room isn't soundproofed as well as you'd expect. Good amenities in the bathroom and plenty of towels. Decor is dated but not bothersome and still clean and pleasant to stay in. The room had everything that we needed including kettle, teas, hot chocolate and an iron.nA note about the air con - The air con worked very well....but I'm not sure how. It was 6 degrees outside when we arrived and we arrived to a nice warm room. Soon we found we wanted it to be cooler so we dropped the temperature to 19 degrees and ended up putting it on the cold setting before we found the rightish temp for us - but then it was still warm. I'm sure we did something wrong but somehow we didn't freeze to death and had a comfortable stay.nnBreakfast: Was excellent - certainly not 5 star but everything that you'd expect. Hot buffet included hash browns, sausages, fried perfectly done and scrambled eggs, cooked tomato, baked beans and mushrooms. Good selection of continental items including meats, cheeses, fruits, cereals and breads. Its not fancy but it is everything you need for a great start to the day. We had breakfast an hour after it started on one day and 15 minutes the next and each time it was fresh and well stocked.nnThe rest of the hotel: car parking is good, covered entrance to load and unload your car, dated but clean and warm throughout.nnFor the price and location I highly recommend.... but remember this is not your high level Holiday Inn - its older and it is cheaper for a reason but they put an effort in to try to make up for it.
It's a holiday inn what more to say. Room was clean with a comfy bed and a good shower in the bathroom. Restaurant and bar area was nice and spacious, staff were friendly and breakfast was very good.
Decent rooms, comfortable and clean. Buffet breakfast was lovely but did run out of items a few times which took time to replace. Overall good stay.
Make sure you register your car at the hotel even if not staying, I was helping my elderly father check in and got a parking ticket for being 15 minutes on their premises.nEdit: Hotel manager and ParkingEye team recognise the error and have resolved the issue in my favour. Do still be very aware of the car park process.
