Before I start I’d like to say that the staff are first class. With Particular thanks to Oana and Daniel for sorting the issues out with our bookings from our company. The food was Also really nice and didn’t take to long to arrive even though we had just been pipped to the post by a large party that had ordered before us. Now the bad bit. Me and my colleague were booked in on the bottom floor. Unfortunately for us we also shared that part of the hotel with a group of lads probable 16-18 years of age. Getting our heads down for a few hours before our nightshift proved futile, as they were banging on doors and running up and down the corridors like little brats!! This went on for a considerable amount of time before someone appeared to lose the plot and start screaming obscenities constantly at the top of his voice. I thought we were having a live domestic. The walls are very thin so if your a light sleeper I would not recommend it. Nexts comes the supposed “show dogs” staying above us. These just barked before we went to work and in the morning after our shift so no sleep once again. We both swiftly packed up and were heading back up north before 8.30, with a minimal amount of sleep. If I get my way I probably won’t be staying there again at weekends.

Stayed here one night before a business meeting. Very conveniently located just off the A12. The reception strafe were friendly and helpful. As were the bar staff. A late arriver's supper snack was well prepared. Breakfast was good too. Will consider staying here again.

Very nice hotel , looked a bit posh for me as i was dressed in jeans and t shirt,but it was a real mix of clientele. From a party of hockey playing school children to smartly dressed buisness men. I was made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Even at 4am i ventured outside for a smoke and it was freezing and snowing! The night manager saw me out side and came to check iwas ok? We then stood there for a while chatting and having our cigarettes and were joined by another guest doing the same as us! It ended up as a nice half hour all chatting away with the snow falling down . the room was lovely too and the staff had decorated my bed with petals and a heart shape as i was meeting my partner there for the first time in a few nonths as he'd been awat and it made it even more special for us so thank you holiday inn . i would highly recommend staying here. A*********
