It's a hotel right next to a busy railway line and station, with a tiny car park. So bear that in mind if you don't like noise or need to park a car very close by. The location works well for me: easy access to London or Windsor by train, LEGOLAND by bus, or the Slough 'town centre' by foot if you are feeling brave/adventurous. The rooms are clean, a decent size, safe and secure. The bar is good, and the dinner menu is a little limited but most dishes are good value, acceptable standard fare. If you are eating dinner in the hotel don't forget to check under your bed for a 'welcome gift'. Breakfast is good, albeit the sausages are a little 'herby' for my liking. The staff make every stay I've had there enjoyable: I've stayed there frequently over the last 18 months, and always get greeted by name, and we always have a chat during check-in. I was taken ill during one stay, and the staff were incredible: they were genuinely concerned for my well being and when I returned from hospital the next day they went out of their way to ensure I was as comfortable as possible. On subsequent visits they have always asked if everything is now okay and if I'm fully recovered. Do stay there if you want to feel welcome and valued as a customer. Don't stay there if you are expecting a budget hotel in a busy location to offer a luxury, "get away from everything" break.

Rooms were lovely, I was staying there for a work visit and I really can't fault the service. However, the mattresses were very hard and unfortunately coupled with the (unavoidable) noise from the trains I didn't get much sleep during my 2 night stay. Evening meals were okay standard for an Express, however breakfast wasn't so great.

Handy place to stay as it's literally a stone's throw from Slough station so very handy if you are heading into London on business but don't want to pay London prices. Room was OK and quiet, given the location. Bar and restaurant could have been more comfortable but the food was OK.

Stayed here 4 times highly recommended. Great location for the train into London. Great friendly staff. Rooms clean every thing you need. Breakfast all you can eat. Will be back soon.

We came as a group of 50 from Paris. The duty manager Fahad was arrogant, angry, and down right rude towards me. His English in non existent and cannot comprehend even the basic English-language. He was behaving as his it was his father's hotel, even threatening to kick me out. I was about to call the police as I felt threatened by his scary body language Are the holiday inn so desperate for staff that they would pick anyone off the street and make him a manager? Try training your staff, will never never come back to this pit of a cheap hotel Please remember that a hotel is only as good as it's staff I have recorded part of the conversation will be sharing Fahads customer service skills on social media to warn other potential guests
