Absolute tosh, fat little landlord robbing the council blind renting out single rooms to multiple tenants who he threatens with eviction and homelessness if they complain. He tells council he has occupancy and places up to 5 ppl in same room and claims emergency housing rent from council especially during cold weather emergency today.... I'm here and witnessed this

Poor lighting and poor hygiene. Rooms smell of smoke and the walls and facilities are old , poorly maintained and mouldy. No soaps, towels,hand wash or shampoo was provided. The old man in charge of the accommodation watched my every move and made me feel like a criminal. Tv and fridge is so old that you have to restart it every time you turn it on . The mirrors in the room and bathroom have black spots and loaded with soap scum .

I can only describe my stay as dire. I made a booking over the phone and the owner negotiated with me for a reasonable price for a twin bed room. When we arrived there where no booking forms involved or receipts given. When I asked where the tea and coffee making facilities where I was told there was a kettle in the kitchen, when I went to look there was a kettle but no cups or tea or coffee in the kitchen. there where no towels provided but we couldn't find anyone to ask for new ones as everybody had disappeared. As it was situated on the main road the traffic noise was continuous until the early hours of the morning. The shower in the room smelled of mould and the bathroom on the landing left a lot to be desired. there was even an iron shaped burn on the bedroom carpet. I would not recommend this guest house to anyone as I have spent nights away in much cleaner and better maintained hotels for a lot less per night.
