Lovely hotel. Stayed at a few hotels around Birmingham and this is the best so far. Reception are friendly and welcoming, rooms were clean and comfortable also. Goods night sleep with little noise even with the hotel busy. Super shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. Chef was cheery and welcoming when topping up the buffet. The only things to let the hotel down were the doors on the bedroom furniture in our executive rooms were lose and falling off, the evening snack in the bar lounge was well overcooked and duvets seem small on the beds. Unfortunately it's either 4 or 5 stars so has to be 4 as I can't make it 4.5 stars.

We visited the hotel for a friend's wedding. The reception area was modern and well kept and the staff were helpful. We able to register our car for parking easily, although the signage in the car park wasn't very clear about what to do. Some parts of the hotel were looking a bit dated and the space allocated for the wedding guests was a bit cramped. The biggest disappointment was the bar. The drinks selection was limited and there didn't seem to be enough staff serving for the number of customers. There were several occasions when people were served before others who had been waiting longer and one guest noted that the beer on one pump was flat.

Very helpful and friendly staff, clean good sized rooms and with sofa bed already made up when we checked in with our children. We had a really enjoyable stay

Exactly what you should expect from a Holiday Inn, it does the job of giving you a place to sleep and eat for a reasonable price. Breakfast is a higher standard than I'm used to at hotels in this price range though! (Which is very much appreciated) And the staff are nice too.
