Comfortable room and bed. Very clean. Staff friendly and polite. Couple of issues, toilet draining all night! Also if you pay cash, your card details are taken, this will minus 20.00 from your back account and will not be credited for 10 days, no advantages of paying by cash. Also not fully explained at check in. But on the whole very nice pleasant stay. Will be using again.

Great little hotel. I booked a double room with two beds. I guess we misunderstood as it turned out it was two twin beds in the room. So wierd for us in canada a standard double is 2 queen beds or 2 double beds. There is traffic noise from the highway but nor bad. More white noise to help you sleep. Restaurant on site was pretty good.

Duty manager was so rude and argumentative, lied and couldn't do his job properly. Worst hotel experience I have ever experienced in an IHG group hotel. Manager needs to be trained on how to deliver a good customer experience.

Price was good. Rooms were spacious but basic and had disabled facilities. Breakfast was a buffet and food not very good. Watery eggs, extra dried bacon and plates and cutlery were dirty.

This was my first experience of a Holiday Inn express and it will be my last. Worst pillows I have ever experienced. Well used as they were so lumpy Bed wasn't comfortable either. Beside sign said each person had one soft and one hard pillow each but both mine and my husbands 4 pillows were all the same , lumpy! Therefore thought all pillows would possibly be the same throughout the hotel so no point complaining and trying to get new pillows in the early hours from bar staff! Also hotel right by motorway junction and our room was facing the motorway so a constant heavy rumbling noise from lorries and other motorway traffic.So no possibility of sleeping at all. Also, no ambience whatsoever for evening drink as bar wasn't really like a bar. Price of stay included breakfast but breakfast area wasn't open early enough for our departure on the last day, the only day we did have breakfast it was very good quality and hot and the young lad was very chatty and welcoming, a good asset to the company. I wouldn't return though due to bedding and continual traffic noise. Also found lots of hairs on pillows. Certainly not value for money. Premier Inn bedding quality is far superior.
