Story

The Hillcarter Hotel is located in central Hartlepool on Church Street, opposite the local railway station. It is a 26-bedroom hotel with a bar serving evening meals, two on-site late bars/nightclubs, and, two function suites available to hire for private parties/events. The Hillcarter Hotel pride's itself on its professional and friendly service, whatever the occasion or event.

- History -
The Hotel was originally built in 1897 as the department store 'Hill and Carter', and it continued in retail use for the next 100 years. The building was renovated during 1997, with neighbouring buildings incorporated to restore the exterior appearance to its original grandeur. After also being completely transformed internally, the building re-opened it's doors to the public as The Hillcarter Hotel in 1998.

- Bars & Clubs -
The light and airy JUNCTIONS BAR is open daily which serves coffee and meals. Ideal to relax and watch the world go by. Our Sports lounge is open every weekend offering a giant HD screen to catch all the sports. The Basement comes alive at weekends - dance the night away until the early hours! There something for everyone, from 90s favourites to modern chart.

- Private functions/events -
The Hotel boasts two very different functions suites; THE ROOFTOP and THE HILLCARTER SUITE, which makes it the ideal venue for family celebrations, annual functions, Christmas parties, dinner dances, conferences or bespoke live music events - in fact any occasion! THE ROOFTOP can comfortably seat 100 people offering unrivalled panoramic views of the town and out to sea, through it's picture windows from one of the highest points in Hartlepool. THE HILLCARTER SUITE is finely decorated and can accommodate up to 100 people for a seated meal or 130 buffet style.
