A family run country house hotel, open for weekday carvery, Sunday lunch, Early tea special menu, evening meals and Bistro. For afternoon tea please book in advance. Throughout the year we also hold special events such as Murder Mystery evenings, please email or phone for the full calendar and availability.
For bedrooms please book on our website or by phone, great prices available.

We came here on a cut price low season deal and are delighted. A welcome glass of fizzy followed by a beautiful two course dinner, an overnight stay and full breakfast. The room was lovely with tea and coffee making facilities shower over bath and a small dressing room. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. Altogether a luxury stay for much less than you can get a night in a motel locally.

We had family from London staying over for one night at the hotel and we went and met them for drinks. Grounds are beautiful. Peaceful. Staff are pleasant and very helpful. Great place for quiet evening drinks.

We attended the hotel on Saturday 21st April for a murder mystery evening. It was a very professional fun evening run by a professional company who played their characters very well. The food was amazing!!! I would recommend the food at the hotel very well.

Attended for a wedding. The venue is a lovely old Manor house set in the county Durham countryside. The staff were very helpful. The food was very good. A very nice place.

Had the most amazing afternoon here at the Mad Hatters Tea Party. The afternoon tea was amazing, the staff kept tea, coffee and juice flowing. The room was decorated beautifully and we all had a really lovely time. Well done Hardwicke Hall Manor Hotel for your fantastic effort on a magical easter afternoon tea!
