Beautiful looking pub and hotel once inside. Rooms are compact but have everything you need including toiletries and honest minibar. Service on arrival was great; staff friendly and informative and helped make the stay a little more special on the day. Unfortunately waited ages to be checked out in the morning. Felt like I was a nusicene during their breakfast period on Saturday morning, with staff disappearing, left the key at reception and walked out. The location was great, well lit and walking distance to the station, The Apollo and plenty of restaurants and bars.
Small hotel above a pub with a convenient location. We first visited the hotel in May 2022 and couldn’t be happier with the location, cozy decor and breakfast. However, our next stay in Nov 2022 was disappointing. The bathroom clearly needed a deep cleaning and painting. Breakfast items were missing, no avocado, no gluten free options etc. With a little more effort this could be great place…
Super cute hotel with a pub on ground level! Very convenient to get to, just like a 5 minute walk or so from the tube station. Loved all the character in and on the building. Definitely ear plugs should be provided as it is down the street from a police station and an outlet on the bathroom as well, and the wifi was not very good inside the rooms. But the towel warmer was really nice to have in the bathroom! It was overall very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. It is very apparent they take pride in their hotel and pub, definitely recommend!
My and my wife visited the town for the Xmas Holidays and we couldn’t be at better place! Overall, We had great experience with the BrookGreen Hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate a birthday weekend. Additionally they have very cosy and traditional Pub and restaurant atmosphere also the area around is pretty nice! Proper West London experience.
After entering our room it was immediately obvious that it hadn't been cleaned since the last guests had checked out - bed wasn't made, cups were dirty, used towels in the bathroom, etc. In the end our room wasn't ready until 4:30pm we first checked in at 2:20pm meaning we had to change our plans for the day. This was seriously disappointing and, while staff were nice, no compensation was offered for the inconvenience and we just had to kill time until it was ready. If it wasn't for this I would have given 4 stars, as the location was perfect and the room was nice once it was actually ready.
Visited for a work Christmas meal. Busy atmosphere with multi screens playing world cup football. Food was good , but not particularly hot and to be honest a little expensive. Yes well worth a visit, but probably better for couples or small groups for a drink.
The bar and the lounge downstairs is very nice if you’re going there for only drinks. The bartender is very friendly he was Croatian if I remember correctly. However avoid eating at their restaurant. The quality of food is quite low to say the least. It was bland and tasteless. I was there with a party of 8. We asked for olive oil and the server said “I don’t think we have any but I’ll go and ask the chef.” She came back a minute later and said “sorry but the chef said we don’t have olive oil because we don’t cook with it.” We were all very disappointed. What kind of a restaurant doesn’t have “olive oil”? Thats like a staple ingredient. It is unacceptable. For this reason alone I won’t be back.
We visited the pub and had a table near the kitchen. While we were eating a mouse run towards us and hid under the bench on which we were sitting and a few minutes later run back again towards the kitchen. Since the service up until that point was fine, we didn't want to raise an issue but then the mouse was hanging around the table next to us. That's when we told the waiter but his response was very disappointing. He shrugged and said "it's the house mouse". When he saw that I wasn't amused he winked at me??? I guess trying to make light of the situation. We were hoping that the incident would be handled as seriously as it ought to as this is a serious matter of hygiene. Judging from the waiter's reaction, we don't expect that issues like that are getting resolved any time soon and we don't recommend this place to anyone.
Really excellent place to stay for work - the price of a Premier Inn but with so much more character and amenity in each room, plus a cracking pub downstairs. Staff are all very nice and leave you to come and go. Always stay here when in London as close to the underground and overground - 20 mins to the centre Rooms: 5/5
The service was not great. Given we'd pre-ordered I'm not sure why it still took 30 mins for starters to arrive. We had meetings to get to and it was unnecessarily slow - given we arrived bang on time at 12pm and it wasn't busy yet. The service didn't really merit a tip as staff were often standing around chatting to one another. ignoring us whenever we needed service - but the team felt we should "as it was Christmas". The sum of everyone's payments was then 7p short and the server made us still pay this!! This whole £40 tip was discretionary and shouldn't have been paid in my opinion. Food tasted good though, and venue decor is lovely.
