This place toasts bagel properly. : The cafe that toasts bagel properly is the place you visit for your breakfast, or any meal. Brownies here is well-made as well. Used to visit here before afternoon workout, just to get myself a coffee and a brownie.
Really good coffee and delicious cakes and pastries. Sadly it seems in the last year new staff have joined what was a lovely, friendly, welcoming team of staff who are now grumpy and struggle to return a smile. I understand it can be difficult to be full of energy and jolly at 7:30am but if you’re being paid to be there serving coffee, you could at least try! Another thing which I found quite outrageous was the fact that although I and the guy served before me ordered to sit in, we were given our hot drinks in disposable cups and food in disposable trays with plastic cutlery. I saw everything go into one bin when we were finished so I doubt any of it was going to be recycled.
Fantastic staff and great coffee, but overpriced for what and where it is. Charging more than £1 over what you'd expect to pay in some places in Soho, in Shepherds Bush is downright arrogant by management. This is a shame because otherwise it's a fun place to go and the staff are great.
Cute looking cafe with definite potential. Unfortunately we watched out batista incinerate the milk for our flat whites, several times - it didn't turn out well. The coffee game in London is too good these days, you can't get away with making bad coffee. Why not send the staff on some batista training and this could become a really good spot.
Really nice cafe in Shepherd's Bush, right next to Shepherd's Bush Market station. Really nice staff and the quality of the food is superb. Love their sweet potato choices. The coffee is really strong here!
Ive been served by a big blonde girl who was, if not rude, totally unfriendly. I hate the 'is that all?' question. What's wrong with 'anything else sir/madam'? And, I've been charged £2.6 for a coffee that tasted like grass and went down the drain. What else do you need? ps. They don't have the hummingbird deli sign but the place is the same.
Had a soy latte, coffee tasted stale. Pretty disappointing. Large tables and WiFi is only positive. But there's a lack of customer toilets for anyone thinking of staying a while.
Coffee was OK. Didn't particularly like the atmosphere. Was there in the mid afternoon and they had run out of most stuff juices and smoothies or maybe it was just that day.
Shepherd's Bush doesn't have many good brunch options - if you're looking for something decent and don't want to head out of the area, this place fits the bill.
Cosy place with great coffee and friendly staff. Also had the smashed avocado on rye with pesto & mozzarella - very tasty!
