Staff member did not check car with us on pick up. Told him of damage on door and he said to put it on the glove box copy of condition report. On return again same chap did not check vehicle with us as were busy. 
Three months later we get a bill for the damage and they are insisting we pay!! 
BE CAREFUL TO GO OVER THE CAR WITH A STAFF MEMBER ON DROP OFF AND PICK UP. 
You would think the staff member would do the decent thing and own up to his mistake. 
I would not advise using Hertz Truro.

This is one of the friendliest Hertz branches I have used. Excellent service and cars always in tip top shape (rented 3 times this year so far from Truro).

Friendly and helpful staff who take a personal interest in you and your rental. The agent went to the car with us and showed us how the SatNav (GPS) system works and explained other features of the car, which was in excellent condition and a better make than we had expected.

Very convenient to have a car hire place right in the train station, although on this most recent trip it did seem as though they capitalised on that with their pricing somewhat, and if we'd been prepared to go further afield in Truro we'd have got a much cheaper deal... 

Also it cost £100 more for a week to get an automatic than it would have to get a manual - again I felt like again I was paying quite a big premium just for convenience.

The other downside of being in a train station is that when a train arrives from London a whole bunch of other people picking up hire cars arrive at the same time as you. In fairness they did seem to have quite a lot of staff on standby, but there was still a bit of a wait and I always get a bit frustrated with these big car hire companies that, having given them all your details over the web in advance, it doesn't just take two minutes to hand over your keys.
