I've been hiring with about for a while. Currently renting a Peugeot 2008 on a 17 plate. From the very first car I've had with them, right until now, I'm super happy with them. Very polite staff and price wise, well no one comes close my my youngest son is disabled and because of issues with (a large organisation that leases cars), we've been forced to hire elsewhere. I'm happy to have found Avis and they've been a life save of late. So thank you Avis Truro and thank you Andy, the extremely polite front of house. A complete please. Anthony B

If I could give zero stars, I would.  Terrible, unacceptable service.  We booked a car at the truro Avis with a car seat.  Now if you don’t have a car seat in a car and you are traveling with a child, you cannot drive that car!  At all.  It would be illegal and life threatening.  So they didn’t have the seat available that we had booked weeks ago.  The woman did not give a damn if we rented a car or not, even trying to pawn off a booster seat for our 3 year old!  Illegal!  Dangerous!  She had no solution except to say there might be a seat in Exeter, 2.5 hours away.  How does that help?!  We even offered to buy a seat (of avises choosing) and be reimbursed on return.  Then they would have more seats in the mix too!  Nope.  No other solution.  Called her manager, no help whatsoever.  “It’s a busy weekend”, she says.  Obviously!  That’s why we booked in advance!!  
This is a terrible company that needs to go out of business.  It’s not only that we were discriminated against by being unable to rent a car because we have a child, but it’s the way we were treated.  Like they really don’t care.  Despite us being as polite as possible.  I’m outraged and would encourage others to take your business elsewhere.  This type of company shouldn’t be in business in this century with reviews like they receive, and service like our family received.

The actual hire went well but when I got back home and checked my bank statements I realised I had been charged twice. No problem as long as I got it back... It wasnt a huge amount.

Then had the displeasure of trying to ring customer services to arrange the refund who apart from the long wait were useless and at first didn't even believe what I was saying. It took me several calls (each time a wait) and sending a screen shot of the payments on my online banking to convince them to look further into it. 
I finally got my money back although was out of pocket as the only customer services number they had was a charge number.

Small site with pleasant helpful staff, easily missed when trying to find, turn left before the traffic lights, heading down the hill with Waitrose on your right.
