If I could give more stars, I would. The owners of this site were lovely and really helpful. They went well out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything that we needed some of the gear we took along didn't work out to stay warm and cozy for the night. The site itself was so peaceful. It's quite far out of the way of anything, so you can't hear cars or planes. There was very little light pollution too. Next time I'm definately bringing my telescope as I got the see the conjunction this year, and you can actually see the milky way as well. You can tell the site is loved by the owners because it was very tidy and we'll kept, one of the cleanest sites I've ever been to. Each plot gave you plenty of space. I had a 6 man tent on the pitch and my car, seating area with fire pit thank you very much, by the way and probably still had enough space to play a full game of cricket, complete with sold out crowd. The Toilets/showers were very well kept. Everything was maintained really well. The shower had really good pressure so you actually got a good shower and everything was clean. Next to that there's what looked like a small bar or social venue. Sadly it was closed but it looked very nice. Next to that was a barbeque area with what looked like 4 units. On the edge of the site there was a football pitch with goals and a play park which was quite cool. Lastly, there's a really nice little shop/reception. What was really nice was that they didn't overcharge like a lot of the campsites I've been to in the past would. Everything was very fairly priced. They rent out fire pits as well, which is very worth taking advantage of. To go along with that, they also sell logs and kindling which will last you 3 days. There was card payment also so that saves the need to weight your wallet or purse down. To conclude, I couldn't have been happier with this experience. It was a lovely campsite ran by lovely people in a very remote location. I would highly recommend this oasis in the landscape of Britain. Thank you very much, I had a fantastic time
Great and very level tent site. The playground for the kids was great with the attached footie field also a big hit. The facilities are well tended, and they seem to keep it in good order even it is starting to show its age. Would definitely patronise this facility again.
