Competent service and good facilities but not recommendable if you need to use this self storage longer than the pre paid first couple of weeks. They will increase the prices regularly without notice while having your goods hijacked when they understand you are away and not able to change the goods location easily, and increasingly to a price much higher than that of any quotation you may find at their website at that time. At this self storage center, longer customers are punished, not rewarded, and pay much more than incoming ones. It is a very dubious practice and doesn´t seem ethical at all.

Used them for the first time last year, thought they were fine so I rented another unit a few months ago. I then found out about £70 I had in credit (which they hadn't informed me about) from last year and that was deducted off my new unit's first month. I've now closed my account and vacated my unit over a week ago, yet still got debited a few days ago for another month of storage. When I phoned them up, I also found out about £57 I had in credit with them, which again they hadn't told me about. When I confronted the staff on why they don't tell their customers they owe them money, even once the customers have closed their accounts, the employee said "oh we don't do that, otherwise we'd be calling people all day!". I guess it is easier indeed to keep people's money and not say a word about it. Overall, I was promised 4 call backs from the manager by 4 different people. It's only after my 5th call to their branch that I've found a helpful employee who immediately proceeded my refund. It was really that simple. Piece of advice to current and previous customers: always ask them if you have anything in credit in your account. You might be in for a cheeky surprise.

I've used this facility for personal and business. The spaces are clean and bright. The staff at henfield are friendly, helpful, and surprisingly know the majority of their occupants by name. They are exceptional.
