STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS YOU SEE HERE WERE PLACED HERE BY THE COMPANY NOT BY REAL LIVE CUSTOMERS. these people are experts in taking your money and forgetting about your items. THey are also particularly good at telling you that you will have to pay some customs import taxes when you ship something somwhere, yet for all their claims to experience and know-how, they have NO idea what anything will cost and DO NOT TELL YOU until your items are being held ransom, basically...and this is all after you jump through hoops to fill out their forms (which they PURPOSELY make difficult for someone in the middle of a move to handle) This place is AWFUL. Spend the money to ship your things WITH YOUR AIRLINE and WITH YOU. You are Better off. I PROMISE and I am REAL.

When they advocate that they will pick up your boxes please be warned that they don't give a specific time- what they say in from 9.00 until 5.00 which means you have to take a whole day off work to just wait. They only operate Monday-Friday 9-5. Anyway as I couldn't do that I asked for a timed collection which is a 3 hr time frame and was advised that it will cost an extra 27 pounds. I accepted this. On the day of pick up the company did not show up within that 3 hour time frame, so I think it is fair that I shouldn't need to pay for the service as there was nothing 'timed' about it. The response was 'You need to understand that sometimes things don’t go as smoothly as we all want them to go' and 'no we will not detract the 27 pounds'. Now I open my invoice and its actually 42 GBP. So please be aware that there will be extra costs along the way that you were not made aware of when first looking at this service. So choose wisely.

DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY...BEWARE!! I recently sent household goods via Excess Baggage Company to India. The company mentioned there will be certain destination charges and custom clearence which i would have to pay in India. Thereafter I questioned how much will it be and heard no response. By that time they had picked up my stuff and sent it via cargo. Now after 3 months, I received an invoice from the local company Globelink which they have a tie up with for GBP 250 approx. Apparently the local company is claiming that they have a fixed charge of Rs 14347 ( GBP 250 approx) for goods upto 1000kg. This is also been informed to the Excess bagge company and have been having issues with few other customers as well who were equally surprised by the destination charges. Excess baggage despite asking several time didn't bother to tell me the exact destination charges or for that matter give me a ballpark figure. This activity seems an excellent way to dupe customers and charge whatever they wish for. IN THIS SITUATION, YOU WILL BE STUCK WITH NO OTHER OPTION AND LAND UP PAYING DESTINATION CHARGES WHICH ARE EQUAL TO WHAT THEY CHARGE ON DOOR TO PORT SERVICE.

I shipped three boxes from Vancouver to the UK with this company and they have completely ripped me off with charges. I successfully received a my items but 2 weeks later received an email with notification of a charge of over 100GBP having already paid the initial quote. When I contacted customer services I was told that I had shipped an additional 30kgs and this was the reason for the charge. This was simply untrue and I have explained myself until blue in the face but the company is now evidently ignoring my calls and emails. I was told almost a month ago that they needed to verify my argument with DHL (the carrier) but I have not heard anything at all. The initial agent that helped with my quote has also vanished from the face of the earth, interestingly. To summarise, I was misquoted by 35% and have been cheated out of my money with no points of contact willing to help or listen to me. The company are basically a middle man between you and a real courier. They quote less and take the extra money without confirming anything with you first. It then looks like the tactic is to ignore you and hope you leave it alone. I would 110% suggest getting your quote directly with DHL/Fedex and paying (what looks like) the extra money for a professional service. In the end its all the same cost anyway. I'm totally disgusted with the level of customer care and have already informed 2 friends not to use their same service when coming to the UK. AVOID
