Quirky old original pub in the lovely town of Abergavenny. Very welcoming and friendly staff.
The selection of food is wide, and yet the classics are spot-on. The cod with chips was excellent, and the roast was done well and served with a delicious slaw. A friendly barkeep and calm space on a Sunday night. All for a very reasonable price. Heartily recommended for anyone looking for a simple yet high-quality pub.

Lush little pub, dog friendly and delicious inexpensive food. Definitely be coming back here! Everyone so friendly and want to give the dog attention. Woman behind the bar was so lovely and welcoming!
Great pub with great ale and a fab atmosphere.
I sort of love this place. It's a proper pub if you know what I mean. It's not the poshest pub you will ever go to but it's very down to earth and friendly. The drinks are reasonably priced and food is quite plentiful and tasty ... sometimes that's all you need.
