"It's difficult to explain exactly what makes this curious coffee shop and gift shop quite so special and taken to the hearts of the local community. It is a marvellous mix of old and new, classy and comfortable, lively and relaxing with a wonderfully eclectic decor and range of gifts and homeware that combine to make a special and favourite place for all those who visit. We have a drinks and food range that suits all, including vegan, vegetarian, GF, Lactose Free. We are allergen friendly and we recommend speaking to your waiter/waitress about your dietary requirements."

Great little cafe with good coffee and tasty cakes. We had the dark chocolate dairy free cake and it was just the way I like it: not too sweet and you can pick the amount of chocolate you like. The espresso was ok, not specialty coffee shop level, but good. We really enjoyed the speed of the service on a busy Sunday afternoon, and the genuine attentiveness from the staff. The place didn't feel overly loud even if it was packed, and you can still have a normal conversation with your companion. Highly recommended for a lovely place to spend some time.
Amazing food. PERIOD. Service is always perfect, food is always on point, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Always looking forward to this place, the Oreo milkshake and the peanut butter brownie are exceptionally good!
What a gem of a place. There are few places in this geographical area that offer such a relaxed informal atmosphere, in fact I'd almost given up looking when I found Hemingways on Google Maps. I took a chance and I'm so glad I did, it is lovely.Food: 5/5
Popped over to Hemingways after a great walk around the Devil's Punchbowl. Hindhead was packed so opted to explore somewhere nearby and found this place. The cafe itself is beautifully presented. The staff are incredibly friendly and passionate about the menu. My partner wanted to know more about a certain coffee and they simply whipped up a small sample for her, I've never seen this in a cafe! The coffees and baguettes we had were delicious and filling. We will be back to sample the extensive cake and pastry selection. COVID-19 measures put in place were professional and accommodating.

Been for years. Staff and owner always very friendly, drinks good, service generally good and it’s a good provider of jobs for local young people. Only a 4 as I don’t think that all of the hot food ingredients are of very good quality…
Deeply disappointed. First red flag is charging extra for dairy free / gluten free items. As a disabled person who has no choice about diet this is really a tax for being ill, which is unacceptable. After finally finding an item I thought was suitable, it turned out even the pesto had wheat in it! So I ordered a jacket potato with mozzarella, pepper, and no pesto. Well there was hardly any red pepper either a pile of spongey aubergine and courgette which was disgusting. I thought it was impossible to ruin mozzarella but they managed it: rubbery and tasteless. Wish we'd gone somewhere else. Don't waste your time, especially if you have allergies/intolerances!! I should say the decor and staff were fine, and you'd probably have a lovely time if you can eat anything. Vegetarian options: worst vegetables I have ever eaten, spongey and tasteless, sadly. Rubbery cheese, gross. Wheelchair accessibility: No easily accessible loo. Dietary restrictions: Charging extra because someone has allergies/intolerances is so wrong. Please don't make us feel even worse, it is hard enough going out to eat in the first place! Limited choice and I what I did end up ordering tasted horrible.
First time we have been here lovely place Great food caters for every diet vegan gluton free and vegetarian as well as meat and fish lover's. Not your run of the meal chain such a nice change. Reasonably priced and grateful coffee.
Excellent service and sandwiches. Grande cappuccino was delicious also and so many tea choices. Love the falafel
Love Hemingways! Very friendly helpful staff. The coffee is excellent. I had a coconut turmeric latte, wonderful taste!
