Great course, lovely greens I was lucky enough to play with a member so I didn't have to pay over £100 to play and use buggy. Hard to believe it's near to haywards heath would think you are in the middle of nowhere. Looking forward to another round very soon
Greens in great condition for December, been weeks of rain and fairways not boggy, so well maintained. Challenging Park Land course for me as high handicapper and lengthy yardages. Got of to a good start on front 9 and some Pars but that fools you into false sense of security, game fell apart on back 9. Would really ask the management to look at investing in some signage and paths, as a guest it’s more than a bit of guess work to find some holes and you can slow up players behind you, £50 is on the pricey side so not unreasonable to invest here. Members in the bar really helpful. Been trying out lots of Golf courses in Sussex, and this one is worthy of shortlisting.
A lovely course with tree lined holes. This was my first attempt at the course & you need to be straight off the tee otherwise the trees get you. Not good for long hitters who are a bit wild but play sensibly & a good score is achievable. The greens are lovely but they have some big breaks which can catch you out. 6 x par 4's in the opening holes gets you in the grove before the tricky par 3's & long tight par 5's. Played when it was a bit windy, so looking forward to another round as this a great test of target golf. Friendly members & staff. A great day out in & around the trees. Highly recommend.
First time I had played this course. I found it very fair. Tree lined fairways but you were able to find your ball, take your punishment and move on. The fairways were excellent. I found the greens slow but not really a negative. Great facilities i.e the club house and range. Ample parking. I will be playing here again.
Pleasant day playing golf as always but course is not a 50 pound a round course. Played on better 20 pound course. No hole signage, distance markers and lacks footpaths
Course in very good condition. Greens a little slow but very smooth. Not an easy course because of so many trees but for your average golfer it is a very good test of your game.
A very friendly golf club with a challenging park land golf course. Nice club house with intimate bar and nicely appointed restaurant. Good choice of food at reasonable cost. Golf course is tight and tree lined so straight driving is a priority.
Great course we'll maintained friendly staff. Green fee players welcome.
Haywards Heath Golf Club is an undulating parkland layout, extended to an 18 hole course under the guidance of the renowned course architect, James Braid. Tree lined fairways and small greens await golfers, with these two factors ensuring a challenging round where accuracy, rather than length is a must on the majority of holes! Course management is key! The course was in generally good condition for the time of year, but had been aided by the mini February heatwave the week before, but rain the previous evening had softened things up a little more to how you would expect a course to play in February. I'm definitely interested to head back and play later on in the year - I think the course would be spectacular come autumn! My favourite holes were the dogleg par 4 4th, the short par 3 7th, the par 5 12th, and the closing par 3 17th and short par 4 18th. Arguably, the stretch between holes 10 and 13 is as tough as they come in Sussex from my experience so far! At £20 for a Winter twilight offer, you certainly cannot complain for value either. Well worth a try if you're in the area. For more course reviews across Sussex and beyond, check out my website or Social Media pages! @TheSussexGolfer
Amazing staff, amazing food and service. They hosted an event for us at the most reasonable of prices and we had amazing feedback from everyone about the club and service provided. Massive shoutout to Lorna, the bar staff and kitchen staff!!!
