Lovely Bar, with a wonderful selection of wines and spirits. That's even before you try the food. Perfectly finishing the evening. Reccomend for food, drink and attentive staff.

Great restaurant with fantastic food. I had the chicken terrine followed by the pork belly vindaloo. Not only did the dishes arrive quickly, they tasted amazing. Both dishes were perfect examples of an Indian-western fusion gone right. Even upon entering the restaurant, our coats and hats were hung up for us. My only problem was that we were sat next to a rather loud group of women having a birthday celebration, which we were not warned about, but I think the great service and tasty food made up for that. Do also note that the pork vindaloo was, surprisingly, not that hot; I strongly recommend it! The attached pictures are not only of my dishes, but of my parent’s dishes as well.

The Crown Hotel has started another attempt to reinvent themselves. New restaurant with new name. Same facilities. Rumour was the chef is a Michelin Star chef. Turns out the food was ok. The portions were artistically tiny but the use of salt was not. Service was friendly but a bit clueless. The sides which we ordered a bit later than the mains were then brought as a 'snack' without the mains which came 15mins later. Ketchup? 'We don't have ketchup'. Thought that is pathetic as a policy as they serve HP Sauce. Turns out they simply ran out and could not be bothered to run across the road to the shop to buy some. This place is sad. It has been beautifully refurbished but they have never been able to manage that place. Every time they announce an overhaul one is hopeful but every time they go back to the same bad management. Such a shame.
