Warm and friendly atmosphere. Staff are very helpful, attentive and maintain a high standard. The gym is functional and clean but lacking some key equipment which would really make a difference. Christmas opening hours were not displayed online or at the centre and caused some annoyance to myself and other patrons when were asked to leave mid-session. Overall, an acceptable local leisure centre but could be significantly better with a few minor changes.
I bring my daughter here every Monday for her swimming lessons, which should be a positive and healthy experience — until we walk into the changing rooms.nnThe overwhelming smell of urine hits you immediately. It’s so strong it feels like it arrives before you do, as if it’s part of the welcome package.nnHonestly, the smell is intense enough to make you wonder whether the cleaning routine has quietly taken the day off. It’s really unpleasant for children and a serious test of endurance for parents.nnThe swimming lessons themselves are fine, but the hygiene in the changing area urgently needs attention. We come here to learn how to swim, not to practise holding our breath outside the pool!
My children have swimming lessons here, the teachers are very good and I’ve been happy with the lessons. However recently the hygiene of the changing rooms is dreadful it smells of urine. Which can be smelt from the reception area. I have complained before but nobody comes to clean the changing rooms. It’s a shame as it use to be well maintained.
Swim here once or twice a week. Lovely personal greeting to me and my wife when we came yesterday and the same receptionist wished us a happy Christmas on our way out.
I do not recommend this place at all. The staff's behavior was extremely aggressive and disrespectful. I was very disappointed with my experience.
