Interesting layout of performance areas, friendly staff, vegan cakes and comfy seats. Also the prices are very good considering the high quality of what’s put on here. Highly recommend
What a beautiful theatre and wonderful vibe. There was a nice bar that served everyone extremely fast, large bathrooms, generous waiting seating and beautifully decorated. The performance was amazing by true professionals, we will 100% be back.
I've watched some great productions both upstairs and downstairs at this place. Toast drinks are served by very friendly staff and although I've not had the wine, the price looks very reasonable. Get in if you can to the first five or so showings of a new show and you'll get wonderfully priced tickets. Attracts some of the best writing around and the main room is impressively fitted out. If you like a beer then the pub across the road is good, for both pre and post-show!
the building is a fine design and economy in material, it's style recalls the AA school so it would not surprise me if the architect trained there. I've been inside the theater which is also fine. it's got endless plays on its events list if that is your thing then it's the place you. enjoy.... the theater is located in an an existing open public yard/space in which several different catering businesses operate under temp tent shelter forming a market offering cooked food of differing cultural dishes during the day only, an added bonus.
Lovely theatre with really interesting plays. We saw 'Nelson', which was excellent, get tickets if you can and a week later in New York we saw 'The Collaboration', a Young Vic play, which also was terrific with great actors.
What a lovely theatre. Clean, stylish, nice venue. My only concern was that I could only find one toilet and that had three urinals. I am sure there are more, but I didn't know where. I'm not the only one to have had this issue.
Beautiful place and lovely show Link & Mulhan. A west end quality shows at a fraction of a price. Highly recommended
I have watched David Suchet retrospective on Saturday... It was great but also a bit too long. Chairs stop being comfortable after half an hour of sitting. Everything else was top notch.
The Hampstead is my favourite theatre in London-I've seen some of the greatest plays staged here: Primo, Histeria with the great Anthony Sher and many others. Moreover, it has a modern amphitheater and very reasonable prices.
Lovely place, friendly staff, but they allow people to eat inside the theatre which is uncivilized. I went to see David Suchet one night, and an indian woman behind my row made a non-stop noise for an entire hour by eating crisps with her mouth open and cranching the paper bag. Quite appalling, considering I went there to here David Suchet and not her ruminating and munching.
