Anne was very helpful and we have booked our visit for fitted wardrobes. Very excited to see what Hammonds can do for us.
We ordered a wardrobe for our newborn’s room, and we thought we would get a great service based on all the positive reviews we saw about this company. They sent a surveyor first who took the measurement, then the day of fitting we noticed that they left a visible gap between the wardrobe and the wall as shown in the pictures below, although in the design they sent us and we agreed on it was shown to be wall to wall. We tried to phone them to ask if they could fix this mistake, they pushed back blaming us for not checking the surveyor’s measurement which were wrong and they kept referring to a clause in their contract relieving them from any fault or damage they caused including incorrectly fitting the wardrobe. After hours of arguing, we agreed to pay again for them to send someone who fixed it in less than two hours proving that the job should have been completed properly in the first place. I do not recommend this company given this terrible incident and we canceled our plans to use them to fit the wardrobes in the rest of the bedrooms.
Shocking installation by Hammonds wardrobes. Poor fitment, poor customer service. Do not use. We have damaged doors and shelves. Absolutely shocking workmanship
We have a fitted wardrobe from Hammonds which we got 20 years ago that we are very pleased with so we went into Bentals to look at the current range for another room. Anne was very helpful and knowledgeable about the range showing us lots of options. We have now organised a meeting with a designer.
Spoke to Anne and she is very friendly and helpful. Also met Mike the designer who is very patient and gave us lots of advise in designing the flat.
If the fitter hadn't been so good I would have given them zero stars!

Hammonds asks you to write them a review when you visit the store, before you experience the chaos of their system once you place an order. Beware that if you book in multiple wardrobes, they will send you a series of emails with no clear identification across them about which email corresponds to which job. The system clearly also confuses them, as if you have two jobs on the same day/week, they will think they have booked the fitters for one job when they have really booked fitters for another job. Still waiting on a fitter for a job they themselves cancelled, so he could cover another job of theirs ...
