North platform is platform 1 to Manchester/southwards.nSouth platform is platform 2 to Blackburn/northwards.nNo signage on platforms themselves.nRead the signs before going up the steps.
This station needs a lot of updating, need proper shelter, wheelchair access as Iv seen people struggle getting up these steps, also needs some sort of communication a s if there is cancelled trains you don't know or if trains are going to be late you don't know anything and sometimes the app you go on isn't always updated till after the train don't turn up, this train station is situated in a really good place as quite a lot of people do use it esp school children and it's cheaper than catching the bus to local stations aswel that's why I use this station a lot. Plus I think cameras should be put on here aswel as some kids do vandalise the station aswel plus will make it safer for people when it's late and they on there own and in winter aswel as it go dark early...
Windswept wooden platform on a high embankment.nZero facilities other than a tiny open shelter and a ticket machine.
The platform numbers aren't on the platform, but at the roadside entrances, bear that in mind.
Very handy local station but it could so with some more cover for waiting in bad weather.
