An acute lack of facilities but the is shining and the is on time
Very dark and dirty, strong smells of old urine as you go up the stairs. You can see it being riddled with germs so i wouldn't touch the handrail, i wouldn't touch anything. No staff and no information boards. Just disgusting. I will not be stopping off at this station again.
The woman serving this morning was very rude and unhelpful. Making any excuse why we couldn't use the train even though I took plenty of face masks and hand sanitizer. Telling me its essential travel when checked on the government website first. I have had to work all the way through this pandemic as well and followed the rules.In the end we used the bus.
It's had a leaking platform roof for 4 years. Dimly lit at night. Regularly filled with the smell of smoke post 5pm, you'd think they'd try to stop the inevitable from happening. Pre-covid morning rush hours were bad as two carriage trains are put on and trains to Manchester are filled before they even get to this station. No point completing the work to extend platform length when the trains are so short. They should extend the platform canopy and fix the roof accordingly to protect against the weather. Electronic message board displaying train information is often on the blink.nIt gets a lot of users and is vital for the local community but gives other users a bad impression of the area when they travel through.
The person who was working the office today was extremely rude ,, all I wanted to do was ask a question regarding a train and he refused speak shook his head and said in finished closed I said only need to ask a question and he said no , consequently after I had gone down the stairs and asked a passenger I had to come back out ,, I'm registered disabled ,, shocking service,,nWhat makes it worse I had just had to walk from moorside station as the person in that office was just as bad and as rude
