Normally very full, not many seats for the amount of people that get off and on here. Needs renovation it looks like the bridge is going to fall! However it still does its job so I can't really fault it there. Nice staff though and they're easy to talk to which is important.

We had got a weekly pass to New Castle which had to be cancelled on day 2 for geniune reason . Early morning after making the railway person understand there is policy online to cancel , she asked to come back again later as it was peak period . Later when we went another lady there denies completely that it can be cancelled . Not ready to listen , she wont see any reason and plainly says her colleague has been working there for 9 yrs and knows best that this ticket cannot be cancelled .  Do not understand why staff is under-qualified and does not know how to treat their customers .

Good location and regular trains to Leeds Bradford, Blackpool and London. Right next to Eureka museum as well
