Small station but it is in good location.
Small but good train station. Facilities available upstairs, tea & coffee etc. Very close to Piece Hall & Halifax Town centre. Station has staff to help and is clean and tidy.
After being on a train from Blackpool for an hour and a half on Saturday 13th of November. I arrived at Halifax Station at 14:50 and when I went to use the toilet in the waiting area which is a disabled toilet and the only one available I was disgusted. There was tissue all over the floor, food waste on the side, the pan was dirty and the toilet seat was crooked. The smell was overpowering and I don't see how anyone would risk their health using this toilet.
Waiting room on platforms 1 and 2 has no heating. Automatic door rarely works and remains open.. Timetable Screen has been off for days. Outside PA system/ tannoy poorly audible in drafty and very cold area equipped with equally cold metal seating. Visiting pigeons may provide intermittent distraction. Snacks and drinks machines do always work.
Much improved and more choice of destinations
Would like to say a huge thank you to the member of staff,who took my suitcase down the stairs for me on the 30th January about 8am, u are a true gent x

Lovely Station, has a heated room between platforms, good for cold morning's.
Only a disabled toilet and that is inaccessible when waiting room is locked. Not acceptable.
