I don't use the trains that often, but every time I do there's only one cubicle open and is very slow. The person in front of me walked off alas he said he's now missed his train because we was waiting in a line for nearly ten mins with one person holding everyone up and only one person dealing with it.
Great train station staff are always helpful and the station is always cleannThe reason for the 2 star review is because for some idiotic reason they decided to remove most of the cycle bays in the train station, I was lucky there was 1 spot left this is obsloutely stupid as there is lots of space and no reason to remove 3/4 of the cycle racking also the racks are so close together it's almost impossible to get a lock around your bike as the other bikes are so close together.nPS:Huddersfield train station sort this out please
This was a solid station to both depart and arrive at, with appropriately sized platforms for the trains and staff checking tickets at the broken gates! Various departure boards make it easy to track services and similarly the signs help with navigation, as does the underground tunnel. This has ease of accessibility through both stairs and a lift, leading out to the main stations areas where cleanliness had been maintained!
No complaints regarding Huddersfield train station. Trains were on time on a Saturday full of strike action and its well served by taxi services, as well as being right in the town so you can literally step out of the building & go shopping. There are a few spots that could do with a lick of paint & a good scrub up with Mr Sheen etc, but otherwise a good station.
