Just had to pop to Halfords to purchase a rear brake light. The chap at the counter found it for me immediately and another guy fitted it, all within 10 mins for just £11.95 - great service, would thoroughly recommend.

My mum and I came in today with no booking for a suspected faulty battery, having jumpstarted the car and limped it to the store. The team changed it then and there, reset an additional fault and rectified some missed maintenance. We cannot thank Luke, Dave and their colleague from the auto repair station whose name we didn’t catch unfortunately enough. Absolute gentlemen, incredibly helpful and a real credit to Halfords and themselves.  Thank you all so much!!

Had a new battery fitted and paid for at 16.05 today, on way home stopped at local shop. On returning to car unable to start car - electrics dead. On ringing the telephone number on receipt was advised they were unable to put me through to Rayleigh store, neither could they send anyone out to help us and suggested we contact the insurance company. Not at all impressed the fitter had NOT connected one of the terminals- not been tightened and came off. £18 was paid for the fitting service and would appreciate a refund for job not done Will not be recommending Halfords

I took my daughter's bike wheel in because we thought the valve was not working and it needed a new inner tube. Matt in the bike section looked at the tube, pumped it up and said the valve needed tightening.  He did that and the tyre was fine. He advised me about different bike pumps.  Thank you  Matt.

I have received excellent customer service at the bike service are from harry who not only fixed my bike but also helped me get bike out of my car and carry it back for me as I was unable to. Fantastic assistance and definitely will return

Went to collect an electric coolbox £100 only to be given one with no packaging and scratched wheels. I was told "well that's how they come, it probably has been wheeled around the warehouse". I opened the lid and found a used cotton bud inside and had to insist they order me a new one. Another assistant came to help and said the others had all come in boxed, and noticed the one they had tried to sell me was broken. Obviously a returned item. Disgusted!

Absolutely shocking, I bought a battery to be fitted, I waited and waited, there was an old age pensioner in front of who waited an hour outside for one brake bulb to be fitted, it’s January I mean really. So after waiting and waiting, I was told Halfords couldn’t fit the battery What is going on, it’s a battery on A Porsche Cayanne

I brought a mountain bike for my daughter tock it back due to the chain which keeps coming off. also gears not working, Received it back and still doing the same thing I don't get time to keep taking it back. Now the guarantees expired, not happy obviously can't put bikes together or capable enough to fix a issue.

If I could put a lower score I would!!! Absolutely disgusted with how I got spoke to by Wayne the manager of the Rayleigh store, I explained the issue I had with a battery I purchased just over a year ago  tested faulty by AA at roadside I got my mum to purchase a like for like from basildon store, so then I could get to halfords and return the faulty battery, all Wayne said was, why didn't you come in and just swap for like for like when I already explained...... very rude person and will try his best to belittle you, all he could say was "go to basildon store and they'll refund you and walked off.......  Halfords need to find a new manager for Rayleigh store, WILL NOT BE RETURNING THERE!  I will be escalating this matter with halfords further as he is not fit to be a manager

Nice people, very helpful and friendly. Sometimes think they could do with a coupe more staff though. So much better than going to Eurocarparts in Basildon
